What do I do about that, Scherbatsky? You're Ted Mosby. You start believing again. In what, destiny? Chemistry.

At least two Black women in Florida were forced into courtroom-style hearings while in labor after refusing cesarean sections, with judges b
this is fucking insane. two different cases in Florida where pregnant Black women were forced into video call court proceedings, in the middle of labor, laying in their hospital beds, because their doctors chose to go after them for refusing cesarean sections.
the first woman was able to convince them to let her continue laboring unless it became medically necessary, and ultimately chose to go through with the C-section of her own accord later.
the second woman was completely denied autonomy and the C-section was performed against her will.
the white man who prosecuted them defends the decision, stating on the record "I'm real comfortable with what we did here. I hate that she's upset about it."
the two women mentioned here, Cherise and Brianna, are calling on supporters to sign their petition to these two hospitals to:
"Stop forcing pregnant people to have cesarean births.
Take all necessary steps to end discriminatory policies and practices based on sex, gender, pregnancy status, and race.
Discipline the doctors and hospital staff who ignored Doyley and Bennett’s concerns and coerced them to undergo a court-ordered C-section against their will.
Publicly acknowledge and provide financial relief for the harm UF Health caused to the Doyley family and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare inflicted on the Bennett family."
Cherise Doyley was 12 hours into labor at University of Florida Health (UF Health) Jacksonville when a nurse walked in with a bedsheet and t

The Trump administration admits to testing conversion therapy on trans prisoners and implies its policy of forcibly detransitioning trans me
i know hardly anyone reads articles when i share them so to highlight some key parts here:
"under [this policy], the ~2,200 trans people in federal custody will be medically and socially detransitioned against their will, all in the name of helping them “recover” from gender dysphoria."
"...the third study in this category attempts to compare trans women who undergo gender-affirming surgery to those with an entirely unrelated medical condition known as ‘adult acquired buried penis.’ Equating these two is an entirely medically inaccurate and hateful rhetorical decision, and it’s telling of the manner in which the Trump administration is trying to frame trans people’s bodies.
Meanwhile, the fourth study analyzes fertility in 18 trans men who paused their hormone therapy in order to have children, and it constitutes the only fertility study the BOP admits to have reviewed. As if that wasn’t alarming enough, this specific study doesn’t evaluate if trans men can carry children after going off testosterone; it actually evaluates when. Given the fact that the BOP has no legitimate reason to concern itself with fertility, this implies that the Trump administration—at least in part—created the prison policy out of a desire to find out how soon the forcibly detransitioned trans men in its custody will be able to carry children.
Finally, perhaps the greatest confession is provided by the last two sources. The first of these is a medical article providing commentary on a study—a study that was not reviewed during the creation of this policy—of trans patients at Kaiser Permanente clinics, and in its words, its sole purpose is to “describe methods of cohort ascertainment and data collection and to characterise the study population.” Put differently, it communicates two things: how to single out trans people through health information and what data a study on trans people should collect."
"So far, the judge overseeing the ACLU’s lawsuit against this policy, Reagan appointee Royce Lamberth, has been surprisingly sympathetic towards the plaintiffs and, as a result, has blocked it from being enforced for the ~800 that have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. However, if the Bureau of Prisons’ policy is eventually allowed to stand by the Supreme Court, it will undoubtedly lead to tremendous suffering among the trans people in federal custody."

I say these words with no hyperbole
I'm not saying them to be "edgy" or "trigger" people or to show how dark and gothic my "twisted mind" is
I say them because they are the honest truth:
To every single person who has ever voted for the Republican party for ANY reason: I wish and hope that their children die of AIDS
And I wish and hope that the day after they get the news their children have died of AIDS they get informed they have terminal cancer
Republicans are a PESTILENCE UPON THE EARTH
Every single Republican everywhere on this planet is a filthy oxygen thieving parasite that has never and will never contribute anything of worth or value to the species
If every pregnant Republican on earth had a miscarriage right now, it would be fantastic news for the future of the human species
And if every Republican on the planet had a brain aneurysm tomorrow I would call that the funniest fucking moment in all of human history
I understand your anger but please reconsider saying things like this. HIV and AIDS are not punishments for bad behavior, or punishments for the children of those committing atrocities. In fact, trans people in the US face disproportionately high rates of HIV and AIDS, most notably among Black and Latina trans women. The Trump administration is currently attacking HIV/AIDS programs alongside trans healthcare. Serophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and homophobia go hand in hand. This is all interconnected and we do not secure anything by throwing each other under the bus.
I need you, and everyone, to care about trans people and people with HIV/AIDS, especially those currently imprisoned, not just about saying the edgiest thing you can think of. I suggest getting involved with or donating to the TGIJP. Support means more than hatred of the opposition, genuinely.
I want every single right wing politician to be dragged down the street by their ankles and locked in the stocks and pelted with rotten vegetables.
okay. what have you done in the past month to tangibly support the trans community?
