oh wow. if this was a book we'd be criticizing the author for using such a heavy-handed metaphor, but unfortunately this is real life. we'll just have to hope they get attacked by seagulls or something.

my advice to you is to just do it. it's spring time, put on a skirt and just go somewhere. gas stations/convenience stores are a great venue for this, you can have a short and polite interaction with someone and then just leave.

you may be surprised to find that the majority of people just don't care. I get the occasional "you are a tranny" glare, odd looks, etc, but most people just ignore me the same way they did before I transitioned.

the first time I did this, the lady at the gas station oh-so-casually asked, "did you need anything else, beautiful?". it was everything to me. in that moment, I would have gladly died for her. pledged my blade to her cause. anything she asked.

it's scary, but there's magic to be had on the other side of fear.
