It was outed that Taylor lied about how much she was offered (that being 5,000 per recording session rather than a flat rate) after which she confirmed that she'd lied but Also continued insisting that the game be boycott.

She made a list of charities she suggested people donate to instead of buying the game, and while quite a few were real, others were things like anti-abortion organizations who exist entirely to create propaganda to shame women.

Which of course got people to start sifting through her twitter, which is pumped full of posts from Taylor's ""gender critical"" friends.

That's why Anna did this. it's not just an empty random gesture, it's loudly proclaiming support for trans people in direct response to transphobia.
