shapeShift
Research project from Stanford University’s Shape Lab is a physical interface for tactile interaction in VR environments. What differs from other projects with similar mechanical arrays is this implementation is moveable:
We explore interactions enabled by 2D spatial manipulation and self-actuation of a tabletop shape display. To explore these interactions, we developed shapeShift, a compact, high-resolution (7 mm pitch), mobile tabletop shape display. shapeShift can be mounted on passive rollers allowing for bimanual interaction where the user can freely manipulate the system while it renders spatially relevant content. shapeShift can also be mounted on an omnidirectional-robot to provide both vertical and lateral kinesthetic feedback, display moving objects, or act as an encountered-type haptic device for VR.

the descriptions I see of Harry Styles on this website are possibly some of the most entertaining things I’ve ever seen. “some daymare Saint Laurent wearing gorgon”? “a gentle succulent plant”? “high class Renaissance Venetian courtesan”? these were ones I saw TODAY alone.
all of these make sense??? I relATE
have you ever related more to the universe
Not recognizing someone you know when you run into them in a different context points up that our very existence is a matter of context. – Michael Lipsey

drop what you are doing right now. if you’ve been having a shit day it is about to turn around, and after watching this you will feel like you can accomplish anything. if your day has already been swell then prepare to ascend to an entirely new plane of happiness.
