The Portland Sandwich Tour
1.The pork belly from Double Dragon- nestled in SE Portland, this place holds nostalgic value for me. It was one of the first places I ate when I was interning in Portland during grad school. The patio welcomes you in with picnic tables and inside you'll find an eclectic mix of Asian inspired decor. Their pork belly ban mi is a twist on the original- layered with house made kimchi, chipotle aioli, cilantro and caramelized pork belly, all resting between a perfectly crunchy but chewy roll.
2.The smoked turkey sandwich- Figlia. This place is a cute new eatery established by older sister restaurant, Renata. The space feels like a European cafe where you can order just a coffee, or a full spread for lunch. The smoked turkey is a sandwich I haven't stopped thinking about since I tried it last month. Fresh, vibrant, and perfect for sharing or devour it yourself.
3.Fried egg I'm in love, Srirachalot. The best breakfast sandwich place around this sandwich has all the goods including ham, cheese, avocado, a fried egg and sriracha! Check out their entire menu which is filled with amazing choices. A little yellow food cart settled right next to bustling SE Hawhtorne St. Perfect stop to hit before shopping or even call in a to go order before work!
Lardo- this is my go to for anything sandwich related because it's their entire menu! Their signature? Head chef, Rick Gencarelli, likes it saucy "I actually get irritated when the sauce isn't spread to all corners of the sandwich." Sink your teeth through layers of flavor and texture, as this sandwich shop goes above and beyond in both creativity and quality.
5. Last but not least, the Meat Cheese Bread bacon sweet potato sandwich! This place was recommended to me by so many people that I finally had to try it for myself! I was blown away by the creativity with ingredients and textures. They try to take traditional sandwiches and put their own twist on it. Look for the seasonal favorites as well, he incorporates different things as they go in and out of season.

3 Perfect Days In Seattle: A Guide
Day 1
Morning Coffee: Elm Coffee Roasters
240 2nd Avenue South | Seattle, WA 98104
If you fly in take the Link (Seattle Public Transit) downtown.
Right when you get off, you can walk a few blocks until you find Elm Coffee.
This place was recommended by new friends I found from Instagram the wide open space is filled with a white marble bar, and tables accompanied by wicker chairs that seem to fit you just right.
Petite pastries lay across the bar. The most tempting are the vegan donuts, although you won't be able to tell the difference.
The coffee has a light, citrus scent to the roasted beans and the pitter patter of feet fill your ears as customers line up for their morning latte. The ambience is very relaxing, light chatter feels comfortable, and is a sweet spot that isn't so touristy (like Original Starbucks, you can go there, too!)
Mid-Day Brunch: Biscuit Bitch
1909 1st Ave | Seattle, WA 98101
Walking down to Pike Place, the infamous marketplace is next. To satisfy the itch to try new food in the city, you can get your southern soul food fix closeby.
The sidewalk is usually lined up with hungry brunchers in line or waiting for one of the (few) coveted tables. The popularity of this place is obvious with people casually walking by end up joining in on the biscuit madness. Biscuit Bitch has all the sass and snarkiness that lives up to its name. The staff has hair all colors of the rainbow, tattoos that dot their arms, and are quirky and loud. I blushed a bit while ordering the “Hot Mess Bitch” but I’ll admit it felt cool to cuss when I ordered.
The Hot Mess Bitch had me exploring every corner of my cardboard to go box (everything is packaged to go). One bite had me chomping down smooth grits with cheese and the next bite I’d get a flavor whirlwind of sausage, jalapeno and biscuit. Every bite was a new experience depending on which ingredients I wanted to combine next.

Spent an amazing weekend at home in Southern Oregon with this guy 😌 (at Southern Oregon Coast)
This week I finally got to visit the Olympic Peninsula with @bdorts . I'm amazed by the little slice of heaven we call home. (at Olympic National Park)
So cute, I couldn't bear it 🐻 (at Olympic National Park)
Yes, the Olympic Peninsula really looks like this 😍 The first half of this week was spent along lakes, rivers, coastlines and trees. We saw Twilight paraphernalia, crashed in small motels, hiked in the mud, felt the sun on our faces, and felt the rain soak through our jackets too. We stood on the most NW point in the continental US, and built a fire on a rocky beach. All those little moments always add up to something that feels BIG and very special. Our little corner of the world never ceases to amaze me. (at Olympic National Park)

Okay enough of this rain. Why am I not walking through the streets of Athens, smelling fresh lemons and being bathed in sunlight? 😫🍋✨ (at Athens, Greece)
A final look back at Zakynthos, Greece from the ferry. It's funny how taking pictures has completely transformed the way I remember memories, especially from travel. There is so much power in a photo, but also in a verbal or written memory. I'm thinking of writing down as much as I can remember. Any suggestions on how you like to keep your memories? (at Greece)
Climbed a mountain with a dear friend today. A perfect Sunday in my opinion. (at Saddle Mountain)
Saddle Mountain kicked my butt. Definitely feeling it today. (at Saddle Mountain)
Warm weather + spring blossoms makes my heart SO happy. Winter is over y'all 🌸 (at Portland Waterfront Cherry Blossoms)
