He died for us. I don't stop and think about this often enough. Lately, it wrecks me, which it should. It brings me back to what matters. He matters. Nothing else. Not the things that fill my days. Him. Not the worries in my brain. Him. I'm humbled and grateful for the relationship I have with Him. Am I living my days perfectly glorifying Him? Not even close, but He never leaves me. Not when I don't go to church on Sundays. Not when I yell at my kids. Not when I'm having road rage. Not when I'm having a cocktail. He's always there. I don't take it for granted. I know that He is my source of strength and peace. I know He has all the answers for me. I know He has my path laid out and goes out ahead of me. I'll never be able to pay for His sacrifice. I just know that my faith is always in Him and I'm thankful for it. What a mess I would truly be... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
