So there was a hiccup | Hunter& Noemi

It had at least been a week since the incident with Caleb, Jade, and Lexa. Hunter had spent most of the time making sure everyone else in the pack understood the gravity of the situation and the blood pact he entered in along with beating it into Jade and Caleb’s heads as much as he could. He felt by now they should at least understand what the hell they did and that they put everyone, not just themselves, in danger. Roman did what he could to help with things in the pack while he just had a few days to think and calm down. By the time he finally emerged and was talking again he knew he would have to go see Noemi, which he had been dreading from the start. He didn’t even bother switching to his wolf form, he just walked to her house, walking up the stone path in the back of her home from the garden. “So I’m sure you know what happened.” He finally said to her after a moment. 

Noemi knew Hunter would be showing up soon, it didn’t take long before one of the witches came running. Lexa was an extremely integral part of the coven, she had bonds with several of the witches, especially Lyria and Katarina, when both the girls ran up and said they felt pain in their side and shoulder and it made them both immediately think of Lexa she ran. Cloaking herself, she came across them when Lexa had the two wolves tied up and Braden was asking her not to kill them, it was clearly an attack on her and they didn’t expect it to go her way. When Hunter showed up she was mad, thinking he had something to do with it, but happy he wasn’t stupid like the other two were. When he showed up, she was drinking a glass of wine, Lexa had sent her a fire message letting her know she was going to be okay, she she took a breath and send the girls home to rest. “Oh, I do.” She said, taking a another sip of her wine. “It hasn’t even been a month, Hunter, not one full month since our pact was made and two of your wolves ambush and try to kill one of my witches? Not just one of my witches, the one whose bond runs deep within our coven. Lexa, one of the purest witches I know.” Her tone was even but stern, she was extremely mad. “Did they learn that immortality doesn’t go away with a stab to the side?” Her head tilted looking up at him. “And you are so lucky that they went after her, because Nastasyia would have killed them both without a second thought, and if they killed one of my witches, I would have wiped out your entire pack.” Her eyes began to spark a bit from anger before calming herself down. “So tell me? What are you expecting me to do now? Because I want you to think of something, think of role reversal... What if one of them,” Noemi paused for a moment. “Attacked, one of yours? After I offered to make a pact and assured you nothing would happen. Tell me, I am interested to hear.”

He nodded as he took some into his hand and smeared it over the wound as gently as he could but making sure he had a decent amount before tearing some gauze and medical tape, bandaging it up. When she finished he started to help clean up the bloody cloth and things he was using to help her, his head shaking. “That wasn’t why I was staying. I wanted to make sure you were okay.”

Lexa was still extremely mad, she had no idea where those two got the idea to attack her like and thought that they would actually win. Now she was going to deal with Hunter coming around eventually and asking for their powers back, which she honestly didn’t know if she should give them back, they’ve already shown to be untrustworthy, now that they know she could do this, what would stop them from trying again? So of course she was a little skeptical of the twin. “What is it with you wolves? You think because some witches were harmful to you that you can just go around and attack witches whenever you want? Your brother and his little friend should be dead right now, and the only reason I didn’t was because I don’t want Noemi to suffer. They need more than a slap on the wrist, they will get your whole pack wiped if they don’t stop.”

Fixing up this cabin is definitely taking longer than I anticipated, perhaps I should have just rented a place, but I really wanted to buy something and make it my own if we’re really to make this home.

There are places you can rent a room so you’re sleeping somewhere secure around here, a lot of people do it. Sleepy cute semi tourist town, it’s easy to find.

18? Seriously? My mom at least let me hit about 25 before she started dropping hints, she turned the dial all the way to 10 when I hit 30, poor thing.

As he finished cleaning the wound he kept his hand against her shoulder beside the wound, taking the pain as he listened to her. “I don’t think they’ll be trying this again after Hunter is done with them and what you did.” He breathed out softly, watching her hold the jar and moving with his free hand to take it. “I wasn’t going to ask anytime soon. What should I do with this?”

"Take the paste and just smear a decent amount of the wound, then cover it with the gauze, it's a healing paste that Noemi enchanted, it'll help me heal a little faster." After a moment, she took some and put it on the deeper cut that was going up her arm, pulling a small piece of a wolf nail out of her arm, throwing it across the room. "Good, because it isn't happening, I don't even wanna see either of their faces until I am fully healed." Lexa was angry, they were the ones who had attacked her coven, and they had the audacity to come at her again. After she was patched up, she washed up and changed into an oversized t shirt and shorts, the cuts on her face already stating to heal. "You don't have to stay, I'm not gonna kill your brother."

“I actually am too.” He laughed as he turned to look at her couch. “I am definitely much taller than that thing but you didn’t have to move me.” He added in a warm tone. Taking her phone he looked over the menu a moment before putting his order in and handing it back to her as he pulled the money clip he kept in his sweatpants when he was running in wolf form, handing her money to pay for both of their lunches, his hand touching hers as he did so, feeling what felt like a small jolt of electricity run through his body as his eyes started to glow.

"It doesn't take much power to orb someone a total of five feet, don't worry, if anything I saved you a day with a stiff neck." A smile came across her lips as she moved to lean against the counter, placing her cup down on the counter. "You don't have to pay me for the food." When he touched her hand, she felt his fingers add some pressure to her skin, watching his eyes begin to glow, an eyebrow raising. "You okay, Roman?" Nastasyia asked, not sure what was going on with him, but she didn’t feel threatened, she knew he wasn’t going to hurt her.

He watched her take some from the bottles before getting her everything else she needed. As he put everything on the coffee table he moved to sit beside her, seeing her struggling a little bit with cleaning the wound. “Let me.” He breathed out as he took the cloth and grabbed her shirt, ripping it some so that he could actually get to the wound, gently cleaning it for her. “I’ll be sure to let Hunter and Roman know it was poisoned with something. Right now they’re likely getting their asses chewed out.” 

Lexa sighed handing over the cloth to him, letting him clean out her cuts, she'd let them heal naturally with some herb paste that Noemi made, it wouldn't be as instant as the stab wound on her side, but within a few days she'd be good as new.  She opened the box, grabbing the jar of healing paste as well as some other thing. "He should consider himself lucky that he's even alive." Her tone was exhausted but annoyed, she was so angry but there was nothing more she could do about it right now. "I will kill them both if they try this again, also, don't even ask me to give their abilities back, I'll consider it once I am healed fully."

His eyes slowly scanned over her for a moment as she looked at the clock, she was absolutely stunning in her dress and he did everything he could to control the desire within him and the wolf fighting him to want to take her right then and there. He knew it was probably only a matter of time before his eyes started to glow because all of a sudden the pull towards her felt even stronger than it has been these past six months. “I slept very well, surprisingly. It’s been so long.” He added with a soft chuckle. “I haven’t heard any pack howls and no notifications on my phone so I could definitely eat.”

Nastasyia could tell that there was something different about how he was looking at her, but she was putting it to the side, it was probably just how he was feeling post having such a heavy weight removed from his shoulders and his heart. "I'm surprised you slept as well as you did on my couch, you are way longer than it, but I felt bad leaving you on that chair, so I orbed you to the couch." A laugh escaped her lips as she took another sip of her tea, handing her phone to him. "Order what you want.".

He looked towards the cabinet she pointed at, listening as she spoke. “Two largest and one smallest…okay.” He breathed out as he quickly moved to the cabinet, opening it up and looking around at all the different color bottles and vials. After a moment he found the two largest and picked up the smallest one he saw, quickly coming back to kneel at her side. “Is this one right?” He held up the small one as he put them on the coffee table, pulling the table a little closer. “What do you want me to do now?”

All Lexa could feel was the sting in her shoulder, they laced that blade with some kind of poison or something and she could feel it running is way through her body. It wouldn't kill her but it could make her writhe in pain for quite a few days. When he brought over her the bottles he requested, she didn't know if it would work, but they were still young and weren't gonna find some elite poison. She grabbed the bottles and unscrewed the tops and took a pump full of each of them and squirted them into her mouth, laying back against the couch, giving it a moment. It took a few moments but finally the pain subsided, she moved to sit up and pull off her overshirt so that she was just in her tank top. "Your brother or the girl has some sort of poison, the soaked the blade in it. Might wanna get that off them before the end up hurting someone." At this point, Lexa was exhausted, but she knew she had to clean the wound on her shoulder and the slash marks on her arms. "Could you just go in my kitchen and grab some wash clothes, some warm water, and grab that box I have on my window? Thanks." Once he came back with it, she soaked one of the cloths in the water and began to dab at her shoulder, cleaning off some of the blood.

I think the entire country is obsessed with those rolls, I don’t go a holiday without those addictive things. But we both know you’re not gonna get fat no matter how much she feeds you.

I mean, she definitely tries, she’s always saying how small I am and that I need to gain more weight. I think she just likes to feed me at this point, also I am like the one grand child that visits her so I’m the favorite.

There’s this really neat place that always smells good when I go past, I could get nachos there.

Okay, I’ll let you get me some nachos. I like spicy steak, extra on that, the regular queso, fire roasted corn, lettuce, sour cream, and chips on the side please. If you’re hot, bring your swim shorts, you can swim in my pool.
