My fucking cat has figured out how to gently dig his claws into my eyelid and pull my eyes open while I'm sleeping. He does this. It does not hurt. He is remarkably precise and gentle. I however am asleep when it happens and do not appreciate being clockwork oranged by a needy clingy goddamn animal who thinks he needs attention.

I would like to clarify that this animal self feeds and is not being denied breakfast by my sleeping in. He doesn't do this to anyone else. Everyone else simply gets increasingly invasive headbutts and even thats a fairly rare occurence. This fucking cat needs to cuddle with me specifically, And he is decided that the best way to do it is to gently shove his claws underneath my eyelashes and pull. There is no way I can train him out of this because believe it or not shoving your fingers in somebody's eyes to wake them up has the desired reaction.

We have come to a compromise. One that neatly illustrates the reason I'm not wearing an eyemask.

If I have a hair tie on my wrist, my darling sweet baby boy, love of my life and apple of my eye, can gingerly dig his teeth underneath and grab it in his mouth and then back up. and pull. What about for several days? What if you lacked essential medication or clean drinking water for weeks? Months? What if you lacked the money for baby food and diapers? Because this is what many of the Palestinian people are dealing with.

Kariman Duhan (@karemandohan1999) has asked me to share her story with you:

I am Kariman Duhan, a Palestinian teacher and mother of a 17-month-old baby. My son, Ayman Alwan, graduated from the University of Business Administration with honors, but due to unemployment, he worked as a fisherman until the war came and destroyed our fishing boat, our source of livelihood. I created a donation campaign with the goal of helping us provide basic needs such as food, medicine, cleaning drinking water, and clothing, and to collect funds to evacuate Gaza. But the matter became complicated because of the lack of internet, and I cannot communicate with people to ask for donations, which is difficult. I had set a goal of 50k, but have now reduced it to 20k. We want to reach 20 thousand then stop the campaign. This will help us to repair our fishing boat, and revive the fish wealth in Gaza to reduce the famine. We are overlooking the beach and if we repair our fishing boat, we can eat and sell fish and provide for others. I really hope you can help me get my message across to people and help me, thank you ❤️

Kariman's campaign has been up since July 11, and we are currently at $11,330 of the $20,000 goal, with only $30 raised in the past 24 hours. I would like to see to see that amount raised to a minimum of $150 a day. Let's see what we can do!
