Hello! I’m a Dispatch fan. I knew this was going to take over my life when the demo came out and I was right. I have the receipts to prove it, even

You may know me from posting headcanons and making AUs! I’m always up to talk about them or anything Dispatch related in comments, reblogs, private messages, or asks, so don’t be shy!

I’ve also written fanfic for Dispatch! Plenty of Robert angst because he’s my favorite character. While I have many ships, the only one I’ve written for is Flambert. My most popular fics are Accepting Warmth and It Won’t Be Like It Was

Currently, I’m writing:

- Nobody’s Soldier (deaged Robert and Janelle)

- a thousand fingerprints on the surfaces of who I am (a soul paint AU)

- Hold Me Close and I Won’t Leave (aka Reverse social distance AU) (Flambert where Robert and Flambae are cursed with pain if they’re too far apart)

- A Body For the People (one to be used by them) — (Robert having a poor relationship with sex)

Hey, so, the New York magazine sent me a story titled “The Woman Who Taught Me To be a Tradwife” by Britt Tisdale, and holy shit, this is depressing as hell

Britt gave up being a DOCTOR to marry the pastor. And then she’s talking about how she had to be “molded” into the right woman and how she can’t really have friends in the ministry and admits that she really does love being told what to do by others and not having free will

And then her “mentor” in all this admits to having a PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE husband, and all Britt and Mr. Pastor can do is praise Cynthia for staying and having “humble integrity”

Anyway, I bring this up because the New York magazine won’t let me read the whole article without “signing in,” so I’d love if someone could tell me if Cynthia leaves her husband and if Britt ever realizes she’s being indoctrinated into a cult

By saying that I was going to be tempted, I accidentally tricked my brain into exclusively thinking about a villain Robert and hero Flambae story… my bad

Skipping over how I got here, Robert is Daedalus, the labyrinth creator. He purposefully orchestrates tragedies and disasters to test heroes. He forces them to realize and confront their own weaknesses with the help of his “Minotaur,” aka the mech suit that is remote controlled as often as he is in it himself

One of his first missions was testing the then-top hero. That hero failed because he refused to save a homosexual, immigrant, and juvenile offender due to prejudice and bigotry that hero society was hiding

Btw, all of those descriptions are about the same youth. Daedalus warned Chad that all heroes were like that. Chad was so radicalized that he decided to become the top hero out of spite (and also because he wants to make sure no child ever gets abandoned again)

I’m thinking Chad’s name should be Aureate or something like that because it’d be fun if he was a symbol of the golden thread that can navigate and rescue people from the labyrinth

Robert pays no special attention to him. Chad is intently fascinated by this villainous hero-maker (btw, Robert is 100% getting tons of nicknames and titles bc this is my au. He is the gardener who weeds out the dishonorable heroes, he is the eye of judgment and the hands of justice, he is a blacksmith, a forger, a trainer, a knower…)

Like in canon, Robert is brought in to be the dispatcher for the top heroes because he is the only one who can keep up with them, able to view them objectively, refuses to put up with their pride or perceived weaknesses. He is not content with them being known as the best; he is going to make sure they are

This means the Z-Team is morally flipped, too, so they’re all heroes. I will say that they’re still prideful, suck at teamwork, have their own issues that Robert has to deal with

I’m debating how this AU plays with other characters because Shroud could be the hero/manager of the branch and Blonde Blazer is the AU’s main antagonist. Tho, I might give her the benefit of the doubt and let the amulet corrupt her (superpowered evil side, anyone?)

The world needs more Flambert fics that include foodplay with melted food. Like Robert puts chocolates on Chad’s shirtless chest and abs and licks it off as it quickly melts. Not that I’m into that or anything, I just think more of that should exist for the sake of character exploration and whatnot.
