Lila smiled a bit and nodded, “Indeed, what is the point of going out clubbing if you aren’t going to enjoy the dance floor?” She laughed a bit and turned to watch the guy who had wandered off. “Was he being a prick?” 

“Yeah, something like that.” She chuckled. “Some blokes can’t take no for an answer even if you tell them you’re not single.”

Normal people probably came to the club looking to drink, but Lila was mostly here for the music and the dancing. She hadn’t even finished her margarita before she got up to go to the dance floor. She stepped up dancing alongside someone, smiling softly toward them.

Emma laughed, turning to look at the girl who’d just sidled up beside her. The guy who had been trying to chat Emma up had just walked off with his tail between his legs after she told him where to go. Idiot. “You look like you’re having a good time.” She chuckled.

“That’s so stupid. How can someone just leave their kid? And lie about it at that…” She sighed, almost rolling her eyes. “My mom ditched me too… Not in that way, but still…”

“She’s just a selfish bitch..” Emma shrugged, glancing down. Parts of her did of course wish things were different but she couldn’t let herself get sucked in.  “Oh. Well, sorry.” She shrugged again.

Fiona smiled back at her. “Well that is a good to know.” She chuckled softly, looking back at her. Honestly she would probably do the same if that meant that she got to hang out with Emma. “I don’t know, Benji told her it was a surprise. But I’m guessing until dinner.”

“Sounds cute.” Emma laughed. “Well then, I’ll just have to make the most of my alone time with you.” She chuckled, unable to stop herself leaning in and giving her a kiss. “So what movie is this anyway?”

“Wow…” Lila frowned a bit and gave a small nod. “I understand your feelings. I probably wouldn’t forgive my mom either…”

“Yeah.” Emma shrugged. “I lived my whole life thinking I’d killed her and ruined my dads life and she was off living her best life.” She rolled her eyes.

“Well, the bitch faked her death and then reappeared years later.” She shrugged, doing her best to ignore the fact Daisy had done the same to her. Hers hadn’t been willingly. “Now she thinks she can get back in my good books.”

Carter looked down for a moment before back at Emma. This might be an opening or something. Anything to get to Samantha. “Oh..ummm I don’t think I know her or anything. But at least you get something from her right?”

Emma eyed him momentarily before she shrugged. “Dunno, I guess so. But... wouldn’t have cared either way.”

Emma grinned at her. “Of course I am... I’d probably do anything with you.” She laughed, looking over at her, but it was true - she’d probably endure some boring shit to hang out with Fiona. “How long do you reckon they’ll be?”

Dylan watched her, furrowing his brow. “Uh- Hey! Wait a sec.” He muttered, grabbing his shirt. “Are you okay?”

Emma turned her head, slightly amused. “Yeah, I’m all good.”

Dylan raised a brow as he watched her, seeing the person she was avoiding pass by and then turn round a corner. “Okay, they’re gone, you don’t need to hide anymore.”

“Duh.” Talk about obvious. She shot him a look and then moved for the door again. “Cheers. You might wanna put a shirt on. See ya!”
