“Good to know.” Cole chuckled, knowing he could go a bit overboard with his opinions sometimes. At least he didn’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing and pissing off his friends. “Well…” He contemplated his response for a moment, “Why not tell her the truth? She’s been through a lot, obviously, but she must have a kickass survival instinct. I’m sure she’ll be able to handle it, especially since she has you.”

Cole could never actually piss her off, it seemed like he understood things. "Okay, that could work. I haven't been lying to her though. I haven't been able to get ahold of them which is the truth. One would think they would come running when they heard the news. But not my parents clearly." She sighed a little bit. “Okay, enough about me. Tell me what has been going on with you.”

“You don’t know that, Fi… I didn’t think I’d lose Matt or Sierra, I didn’t think Fran would…” She trailed off, closing her eyes tight as she just leaned into Fiona. Anything could happen and she’d almost lost Fiona once. She sighed, telling herself to calm down. “Sorry, I’m okay…”

“Hey, I might not know that but I can do my best to stay alive in Murderville. I have far too much to live for.” She held her close. The stuff with Fran had been unexpected and it was clear that Katie was spiraling from it but that was okay because Fiona would be there. Right now the blonde had to be the strong one and not just for Felicity but Katie as well. “It’s okay. Alright, you can break and it will be okay.”

Emma grinned at her. “Of course I am… I’d probably do anything with you.” She laughed, looking over at her, but it was true - she’d probably endure some boring shit to hang out with Fiona. “How long do you reckon they’ll be?”

Fiona smiled back at her. “Well that is a good to know.” She chuckled softly, looking back at her. Honestly she would probably do the same if that meant that she got to hang out with Emma. “I don’t know, Benji told her it was a surprise. But I’m guessing until dinner.”

“No…” She shrugged, shaking her head. “I mean, yes… I don’t…” Felicity sniffed, reaching up to wipe her eyes. She felt ridiculous but she was seriously messed up so what hope did she have, right? “He kissed me.”

Fiona reached over and brushed away some of her tears before pulling her hand back. “He kissed you? Did he force it on you? Do we need to go to the police?”

“I’m fine…” Felicity murmured, though it was clear she had been crying a little bit.

Katie sighed softly, moving to rest her head gently on her sister’s shoulder. “I dunno what I’d do without you, Fi.”

Fiona moved an arm around her and leaned her head against hers. “You don’t ever have to worry about that. At all. I’m not going anywhere.”

Cole almost recoiled when her attention shifted to him. Maybe he should’ve kept his mouth shut. “Okay, so I think maybe I got a lot of that out of context so feel free to tell me to go to hell.” He laughed nervously, “But I mean… they are adults and so are you. You can’t really force them to do anything.”

"You did completely." Fiona sighed a little bit. She shook her head a little bit. "I wouldn't tell you to go to hell.” The blonde pointed out. “Yeah, well I shouldn’t have to be the only one playing parent. Don’t get me wrong I love Felicity but she keeps asking about our parents and I have no idea what to tell her.”

“Hey, gorgeous.” She said with a smile as the door opened. “You up for company?” She wondered if Fiona was looking after her sister or something and she didn’t want to get in the way of that.

“Hey beautiful.” Fiona smiled over at her. “Always. I’m always going to want company from you.” She reached out and took her hand. “I was just about to head into the carnival. Are you up for that?”

“Maybe…” Felicity said, shrugging as she looked up at her. She’d been sitting doing this little colouring book. “It sounds kinda scary but… I want to try it.” She nodded and smiled then. “Yeah, he is.”

“I think you should give it a try.” Fiona stated, looking back at her. Watching her do the coloring book. “It is at first but I trust Benji to take care of you.” Especially when she wasn’t there. “He is nice to you right?”

Emma laughed softly. “You’re cute.” She nudged her gently. “You don’t have to ask… it’s perfectly alright with me.” She told her, smiling. She was glad she’d done it actually.

Fiona relaxed with a smile on her lips but she could feel her cheeks starting to heat a little bit. “So are you.” When she nudged her, she didn’t let go. “Okay, good. I just don’t know how to do all of this.” She admitted. “And I would really like to say we are dating but is that too soon?”

Katie walked out of Felicity’s room and back into the living room, sitting down next to Fiona with a sigh. “She’s asleep.” The other girl had had a bit of a bad afternoon and Katie had volunteered to help calm her down. It was still a strange situation for Katie. She’d only gotten used to the fact that her best mate was her sister, now there was a twin in the mix. Still, she wasn’t about to bail… though she couldn’t help wonder if Jamie had found anything out about this somehow… she shoved thoughts of him away quickly, turning her attention back to Fiona as she pulled her legs up. “You alright?”

Fiona sighed a little bit, looking over at Katie. She was glad that she was there, she felt less alone in this. “Good.” She moved to sit down, pulling her own legs up. “Yeah, just been thinking a bit. That could have easily been me, Katie.” She bit her bottom lip. “And I feel alone with this expect for when you are here. I’ve tried everything to get ahold of my mum and dad and nothing. Which shouldn’t surprise me at this point.” She glanced over at her. “And I’m sorta, kinda of dating someone.”

Emma nodded. “Good.” She bumped her hand gently against Fiona’s as they walked, smiling before pushing into the coffee place.

Fiona felt Emma’s hand brush against hers. Making a decision she reached out and took her hand. “Is this okay? I probably should have asked before I did it.”
