the gregarious. someone who is the life of the party, is friends with almost everyone they meet, loves to socialize. emma knows how to throw a party and how to be the life of it. growing up, her parents threw parties each weekend for them and their business partners, trying to engage more and more into a world that emma wanted no part of. emma is a theater major, and boy is she going to use it to her own advantage. need someone to perform at your party? emma's the one. need someone to fake a break-up with to get the attention of someone else? emma's the one. she fits the mold of the character other's seek. emma loves being the center of attention, as long as it's only the good attention.

emma is the only daughter of antonia thompson, a socialite, and aleksander thompson, a famous lawyer. during her earlier years, emma was their pride and joy - their only little girl, her sweet laughter filling the room. as soon as she was old enough to talk, emma's heart was deep into singing. she would sing when she woke up, when she went down the hall, when she did anything.
academics has never been important to emma. she glided her way through high school. her parents and her argued about going to college. emma wanted to get a head start on her career as an actress, but her father wanted a different path for his daughter. of course, her father won the argument.

emma and greer's family ran in similar circles. however, emma hadn't exactly paid attention to greer as most others did. both of their families knew each other. emma had spent most of her childhood focused on her broadway dreams, so she had not officially/personally met greer until emma enrolled in ogden. of course, emma could notice the beauty and poise behind greer, knowing a girl like her could do anything and everything she wanted. emma respected the hustle, and fell into the trap of being in her social circle. emma doesn't have a distinctive memory of her and greer, most of their interactions were at parties. they were not close at all.
