Day 13 - Funniest Moment - Charity Dingle’s Bad Hair Day
The funniest moment had to be from April 13, 2023. Charity was getting her done by Mandy in preparation for her upcoming wedding to Mackenzie. Let’s just say, the end result was not what Charity was expecting.
😆
To be honest, I didn’t think her hair looked that bad but her and everyone’s reaction to it was just hilarious. Poor Eve Dingle screamed when she saw Charity’s new hair style. 😆

Day 8 - Favourite Underrated Character - Ethan Anderson
He’s was hunky and smart. I miss him and hate that Emmerdale killed him off.

Day 6- Favourite Family - The Lamberts and Diane Sugden
I love the Lamberts. Valerie Lambert was absolutely fantastic and she and her sister Diane were a perfect duo. The fights, the insults, the banter between them never failed to be entertaining. Valerie’s children, Paul and Sharon Lambert, were far from boring (which is to be expected as having Valerie as a mother). Handsome and witty Paul and beautiful, loud, brash Sharon Lambert definitely made their presence known in the village.

Day 5 - Favourite Romantic Relationship - Vanity
When it comes to choosing my favourite romantic relationship on Emmerdale, I would have to go with Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield (aka Vanity). 😍

Day 21 - Character Types You Would Like To See
A nonbinary character, played by a nonbinary actor. Recently we had PI Summer, played by Vera Chok, who is nonbinary in real life and uses she/her & they/them pronouns. They were previously in Hollyoaks. Would love to see her return, or for the show to introduce another nonbinary character.

Day 4 - FAVOURITE PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP - Paddy and Marlon
When it came to choosing my favourite platonic relationship from Emmerdale, Paddy and Marlon were the first people to come into my mind. Anyone who watches Emmerdale can clearly see how close they are and have been for years. They spend time together, watch movies together, and attempt to join Bear’s football team together (despite neither of the being anything close to athletic 😆).
I applaud Emmerdale for showing a close friendship between two men. Even in 2026, that is not often seen. You see often it with female characters but almost never male. Whenever you see male friendships on television it’s usually two or more men drinking beer, talking about sports, talking about a woman they slept with (or want to sleep with) or talking about their “problems with the wife” (gender stereotypes are wonderful aren’t they? 🙄). The reason for this is quite clear. Many creators of television shows (like many people in the general public) hold onto the homophobic and misogynistic ideas that (a) men can’t show their feelings or affections for anyone, especially other men, because it’s gay and unmanly and (b) if men show affection for one another, they must be in love and having sex. Paddy and Marlon show that close personal friendships between men (like friendships between women, or women and men, or between any human being regardless of sex, gender or gender identity) exist and can be very loving without it being romantic and/or sexual. If anyone needs further proof of the close bond between Paddy and Marlon, then watch this clip of Marlon desperately trying to stop his best friend Paddy from harming himself. The love is there and that is something that should be encouraged and celebrated.
