Preliminary Task Evaluation
Here are my completed front cover and contents pages for my pop music magazine 'Escape'.
Here are the photos I've taken for the cover and contents page of my music magazine. I'm yet to decide which ones to use, so will experiment with each of them to see which ones look most appropriate.
Here are my plans for my pop music magazine 'Escape'. In the final piece, I plan to keep everything the same, but replace the cover photo and the photo to the right of the contents page with those I have photographed myself.

Music Magazine Research
For my preliminary task I have decided to research and produce a music magazine of a 'Pop' genre, since this is the genre I am most familiar with and therefore feel the most confident with when trying to make a magazine to appeal to the target audience. After researching other magazines of the same genre, I have found the following:-
This post marks the end of my AS coursework, the following posts will be towards the A2 course.

Accidental - Completed Main Task
Here is the final completed edit of our title sequence designed for our film 'Accidental'.
Rough Edit
This is the first edit of our title sequence for our film 'Accidental'. As well as editing on titles we also need to make a number of improvements - the main one being that the clip is 1.50 minutes too long, so we need to make numerous cuts and speed up some of the shots. We also need to make the transitions smoother in places where we have merged shots together - such as the fridge magnet titles, and in places where we have cut to a close up too quickly, meaning it jumps - such as the post-it note on the bedroom floor. Also we need to alter the sound, as it is currently too short for the footage, meaning we had to repeat part of it, and in places the diegetic sound cuts in, so we need to remove it. However, despite this edit being far from finished it still provides us with an indication of what our final sequence will look like once finished.
Re-Shoot
Here are a number of photos from our re-shoot which we filmed yesterday, as our original footage was not of a good enough quality. The main problem with our original material was that is was too shaky, because we did not use a tripod enough, though this time we made sure we used it with every shot, and so the footage is now of a much better standard. Also, with the first shoot we struggled to create some of our titles, including the ones involving sweets (as you can see from the picture above). However, yesterday we were able to re-film these titles since we had learnt from our mistakes from the initial shoot, and had thought of easier ways to create them, and so this time they went much more smoothly and now look a lot more effective.
