Shin sat there awkwardly as a bag was randomly shoved into his arms when he had stopped to ask the girl if she needed help, it seemed like she dropped a lot of papers and all.. But before he could even ask he was stuck with bag holding duty, which didn’t seem to safe since she just gave it to a stranger.

“U-Um..” He said softly, not knowing what to do.

       “ Oh yeah sorry- “ She muttered, barely looking up from her piles of papers, “ There’s             an ant farm in there - thank you for holding it. Last time I set it on the ground and the             top came off and all, I had to buy a new bag!! It’s ridiculous that I can’t just buy a case             for the ant farm itself, that sort of stuff should be available anywhere!! “

       Kat sat there wrapped in a towel, staring at the water. Her skateboard was pressed against        her chest, as if someone tried to rip it from her hands so now she was protecting it with her        own life. The sight of a surfer made her scowl. 

     “ I don’t get it- I mean, skateboarding is so much easier than surfboarding!! How do..         People do that.. “

             “ Hold on a second, you’re saying that I woke up in your yard? “ Cue some panic, “ I-I’m sorry. I didn’t really know where I was and I-I passed out, sorry about that… I’ll get going— “

       “ It’s fine!! Are you okay? Do you need anything? My mother isn’t home right now,             you can come in and have breakfast or something. Come on-- It’ll be fun!! “ Kat            smiled, pulling the stranger’s hand towards the mansion-like house.

Ethan was just reading a book,too focused in it to really pay attention to his surroundings. As he was shaken out of the euphoria that was reading, he saw a woman sleeping on his shoulder.

"Long day, huh…?" he mumbled, smiling just a little. He allowed her to rest, eyes returning to his book.

       A sudden jerk of the train woke the small girl, making her jump slightly in her seat. It         took her a few minutes to realize what she had done, but once the fact settled down that        she had fallen asleep on someone’s shoulder, panic rose in her body. 

     “ I’m sorry!! I-I-uh- I just had a really long day and -- I really didn’t mean to s-sorry!! ”

Smiling politely as he pulled her upslightly. When she was back on her feet he took his hand and tucked his lefthand in the pockets of his red coat. Waving his hand dismissively he grinned. Now this is something he likes, a casual life- man this is very refreshing even though he has no knowledge about this world.

“ I wasn’t harmed at all don’t worry~ But are you okay? ”

She did fall with a loud thud being heard—her face must be in pain. But still, it was his fault— he’s the Knight and one of the rules are is that maidens should never say it’s their fault. He smiled at her and stood up straight then bowed a little.

“ No miss… It was my fault, I should’ve paid more attention to my surroundings. ”

      The redness in her cheeks refused to go away, and even intensified when he asked the         question. She had been hurt in several places, her knees felt weak and wobbly, it felt as         if the wood had ripped through her sleeves and shredded her arms, and she was sure         the bump on her forehead would leave a nasty bruise. 

     “ Uh- just a few bumps, nothing really- “ She lied, her voice very stiff, “ Ah.. Well..        T-there’s really no point in arguing over who’s at fault here... “

         Her voice hung in the air, as her mind drifted away from the current situation,           something she did often when she was stuck in situations like these. After a few          seconds of this, she snapped out of it, as if something jabbed her in the stomach. 

       “ Oh- uh- sorry. I’m the only one working today, so if you need help with anything...          yeah... “

     “M-my fault? How is this my fault?” Cho couldn’t understand how them getting separated from the group was any of her fault. It was most likely the other girls fault but she was too nice to say such a thing out loud. Even if thats what she believed.

   Right now she was feeling sick and dizzy. Arguing wouldn’t get them any closer to finding the group of people they came with.

     “ Because it can’t be my fault. I do this thing where sometimes I just don’t mess up- it’s         called my life - and someone has to be of blame or else we’d both get in  trouble!! “ Kat         smiled to herself, if the other girl would take the blame then maybe her mother would         give back her computer in time for tournament on one of her games. 

       Unfortunately, the smug smile was followed by gagging, and an extreme push in her         throat, as if someone were forcing food back up. The girl’s hand found Cho’s shoulder,        holding herself up. 

     “ I suppose it wouldn’t matter whose fault it is- just if we can find our group and relax. “

"Twelve, you say? Well, I’m sure you can afford a better place than that, SPOILED BRAT, but I’m taking you to McDonald’s because that’s what I can afford at the moment. I wasn’t expecting taking anyone out for lunch so I didn’t bring that much on me.” He smirks, passing her in their leisurely walk out of the park. “If you’re not going to accept my generosity then you can get someone else to catch you from a tree.”

      A small smile was passed to the boy, it was common for people to misunderstand her,         and it was also common for the girl to talk about personal stuff when she should keep         it to herself, so his words didn’t bother Kat much. 

     “ I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. I tend to ramble a lot about stuff I really shouldn’t spreak        of. I meant it as a thank you for taking me there. My family wouldn’t allow it, despite my        curiosity. I really am grateful-- I can pay you back later if you need it, whenever I decided         to go look in a ditch for my wallet. “

    Callin’ bull on that lie, no one got off from work at this time. “Sure” he went along with it anyways. She looked about the same age as him, what kind of BS was she trying to pull?           “I’m not that young. I’m just- um following my bird…” Okay not the sanest sounding thing he could have sad, but it was true. He had been following her cawing for almost an hour and still couldn’t find where she was trying to lead him… but she was quiet now.

     “ You’re certainly not legal... I’ll try not to pry into that, though -- “ She always hated       when people asked her why she was all alone when she was about his age. “ Bird?         I could help you look or something-- “ Blake tried to hide her excitement, as she was         always quite fond of the cute animals. 

       This excited her to the point that she couldn’t even question the fact why he was         following a bird, and even if she did, it might be more odd that she was so interested         in the bird.

Shintaro himself didn’t have many precious memories. The only ones he had were with his father. That is why he tried his best to be there for people whenever they needed help. Just like Kat now. “Oh.. i don’t know how to fix a skateboard anyway.. but i would have tried!” It didn’t matter if it was time consuming. He for himself did not have anything to do. 

He always finished homework at school and studying for a test was something he only did at night. Looking at her he made sure she did not hurt herself too bad and even knelt next to her to see if her knees were doing fine. “Are you hurt somewhere else?”

     “ I’m pretty sure I’m fine. I’m definitely hurt other places I’m not aware of yet, but that’s         nothing unusual.  “ Kat gave the boy a reassuring smile. 

       She had to admit, having someone asking her if she was okay was nice. Her mother        had stopped caring about the assortment of bruises and scratches since her little        brother’s started coming home with their own injuries. 

     “ Hey uh- Really don’t worry about it. I’m constantly getting myself hurt so- it’s just          not a big deal anymore. ” She paused for a minute or so before speaking again.

      “ And uh-- We should go, like, eat or something -- Only if you’re not busy! If so, then          don’t worry about paying, I have plenty of money-- uh.. I’m just really  hungry and          my family doesn’t really have a proper dinner so I usually grab something on the           way home so... If you’d like to join? “
