I eagerly check notes all the time to see if people added commentary and I get disappointed when it’s only added as tags. Come on, it’s your reblog! Your thoughts don’t need to be little quiet secrets! Gush and complain! Add giant text walls and gifs and loud opinions that’s the whole fun of a blog!

I can’t believe how many responses on this are people under the impression it was rude or somehow against tumblr’s unspoken etiquette to say anything in your reblogs.

What assholes are responsible for that idea!? Did I miss something?? I have noticed that reblog replies seemed to get rarer and rarer over the past year or two, not just with the death of the old reply function. Seeing other people’s opinions and anecdotes is the entire fundamental purpose of blogging!
