shoutout to me and my best friend in the spring semester of our sophomore year of community college (spring, '23) where we literally shared a doc and did the SAME THING for our psych notes. we even wrote down silly quotes and jokes the professor made and sometimes made memes of it to try and remember the content better! point is, teamwork works, baby!!

TL;DR, transferring is HARDDDD

No, because let's talk about this for a minute.

I went to community college for two years and got my Associates in Liberal Arts. Community college wasn't my original plan, but it's the plan that came from a series of unfortunate circumstances that were handed to me my junior and senior year of high school (*cough cough* I'm looking at you COVID *cough cough*). But being brutally honest, I LOVED my community college. I was involved on campus, in the Honors Program, had a job on campus, and even managed to get unbelievable opportunities and offers from it (not an exaggeration, I literally did a TEDx presentation at my school)!

After community college, I felt on top of the world, and ready to conquer anything. I loved the school I was transferring to, loved my major, and was excited to start.

But once I actually started, I felt...lonely. Isolated. In some ways, I felt like I was missing out on everything that everyone who had already been at the university had been experiencing for the last two years. It was like the joke was on me, since I had chosen this path for myself.

Even now, I'm in my second semester, and although I've found a friend and a small community of people I like tolerate, I still long for more. I try to get involved around my school, and try to immerse myself in the "college experience," but it's not all there. I miss community college.

So yeah, I sympathize with everyone here. DMs are always open if this discussion needs to be continued <3
