so i lowkey abandoned this blog and unfortunately fell off from writing which lowkey sucks but like whatcha gonna do?
full transparency, i have been focusing a lot on school and my academics. and over the summer a lot of stuff has occurred in my personal life that aren't so great, and it took a while to adjust. i was also working 40hr weeks so anytime i had a day off i was prioritizing relaxing and making the most of the summer i had.
but in a lighter note, i have been in a relationship for about 8 months now and that big goober has been taking up a lot of my freetime (making me watch transformers and lord of the rings).
so yeah. i feel like an explanation is owed, especially because i feel like i vanished so abruptly. while i would like to think no one was concerned about my disappearance, im sure that's not the case as i was probably the prime carol fic dealer in 2024.
this isn't a goodbye post by any means, if anything it's an explanation and i guess the announcement that i probably won't be writing for the foreseeable future. i know it's probably brought pain to a few folks and even me to be saying that, but it is true. i'm just too busy with my personal life and writing just hasn't been in the cards for me.
if for some reason i come back, great! but for right now i don't think that will be happening. i will remain logged into this account and check it periodically, so i won't completely vanish LOL so if you message me or comment on a fic i will definitely see it, just not immediately.
anyways thank you for everything. the time i spent on this blog has truely been amazing, i would never ask for a better community to be a part of for a summer and a half. (and i truly mean that i have been in some bad communities) all of you are so amazing and thank you so much for all the continued support!
anyways corny ahh jokes aside hi everyone! long time no talk. in case you all were wondering where i was, i have been so couped up in schoolwork that i have just. haven't been able to even write a drabble.
it sucks but also, gotta get this degree somehow yk? this is just an update post to say that i am in fact not dead, and that i will hopefully get to writing at some point in the near future, even if it's the middle of may lol!
notes: i lowkey suck at smut bc i hate certain words and im like ehhh about this but i had the urge so here we are. also not proofread (not like thats a new thing tho LOL)

The door creaked as you opened it to walk into Carol’s cabin. You were arriving much later than planned, and you were hoping that Carol wouldn’t be too upset that you were so late. Things had gotten hectic with work at the Kingdom and it caused you to have to stay longer to clean up the messes that were made by the kiddos. But you didn’t have much time to dwell on that as you were immediately greeted by her embrace. It was short, but full of so much emotion that made you know she missed you as much as you missed her.
Pulling away, Carol softly held your arms gently with a fond smile painted on her face. Looking in her eyes you began to speak softly, “Sorry I’m so late.” She was quick to nod her head, telling you that she understood and that it was okay. Putting your hand in your pocket, you pulled out a candy bar you had gotten from a trade offer you had made with a student. All she could do was giggle at your behavior and take the candy bar.
Rubbing your arm softly, she pulled away from you to set the candy bar down on her kitchen counter and grab the two mugs sitting on the counter. “I made some tea not too long ago, hopefully it isn’t cold.” She moved past you to set the mugs on the coffee table in front of her couch. After setting them down she sat on her couch, kicking up her legs which made you confused at first. But it soon all clicked when she spread her legs slightly and patted the space between. Walking over slowly you made your spot close to her, and she wasted no time engulfing you in her arms.
You instantly felt at ease with the pressure of her arms around you. “Rough day?” she spoke softly as her hands began to draw circles on your skin. Nodding your head no, you rested your head on her chest. “It was the same, just had to clean up a little more than usual. Everyone was extra messy today,” as you spoke you could feel Carol’s eyes on you. “Well, do you want to forget about the world for a moment?” her voice was soft, but laced with lust. You could feel your cheeks get pink and you began to feel a little nervous but also so excited.
“I’d love to,” you attempted to move to face her but she was fast to stop you. “No, no. Stay like this,” the change of position excited you and caused you to move even closer to Carol. If that was even possible. You could feel her chest on your back as her hands crept to your body. She began to feel you up, moving so slow it could’ve been considered tortuous. One hand moved to get some of the hair off your neck, giving her room to trail kisses down it. Biting the sensitive area every so often which would always cause your breath to hitch.
“You’re already so worked up,” Carol spoke jokingly against your skin. One of her hands soon made its way to your chest, squeezing it through your shirt and bra. The other hand was soon under your shirt, the contrast of her cold hand to your warm skin causing shivers to go down your spine. She giggled at your reaction and brought the hand that was on your chest to your face, making you face her as she placed a passionate kiss to your lips. The kiss distracted you from the hand that was under your shirt, which had moved to unhook your bra. You had neglected to realize until you felt the cold touch of her hand on your bare breast.
Letting out a gasp, Carol pulled away and had a devilish smile on her face. “Wasn’t expecting that hm?” She moved your head to face forward as she removed your shirt and bra. You were now bare in front of her and she loved it. Her hands got to work on your breasts, she didn’t dare touch your nipples yet as she still wanted to see how far her teasing could go. It got too much though, so much so you started to beg for her.
“Please…” Carol kept her hands moving as she heard your plea. “Yes princess, what do you want?” She definitely knew what you wanted, but she had to make you say it. “More, please I need more.” You felt almost pathetic, but Carol loved seeing you like this. So needy for her touch. “Good enough,” her fingers quickly found your nipples, soon creating a rhythm that easily made you melt even more. If she had kept going like that, you could’ve cum right there but that would’ve been anticlimactic to say the least.
A hand quickly trailed down to the waistband of your jeans. With one hand on your breast still, she attempted to reach her hand down into your jeans but to no avail. “Hold on,” you spoke so fast that Carol couldn’t even react before you slid your jeans off. Now just leaving you in your underwear. Carol let out a quiet giggle and placed a kiss on your neck.
She moved her head to be closer to your ear as she moved her hand over your covered folds. She whispered a “good girl” as she placed some pressure where your clit was. You swore if she kept this up you would explode, but that didn’t mean you weren’t enjoying this.
Carol could feel how wet you were, more than ready for her to continue further. “Look at you, such a mess already,” she had you look down at her hand. Your wetness coating her fingers. Part of you felt embarrassed, but that didn’t matter. You knew she loved this and you knew she was about to make you feel amazing because of it.
“Do you want me outside,” she trailed off as she started to draw small circles on your clit causing a small moan to escape your lips. “Or inside,” as she slowly pushed one finger into your folds, causing a much more drastic reaction. She pulled the finger out while she waited for your answer, causing a whimper to escape at the slight emptiness you felt.
Doing your best to mutter out the words, you begged. “Please, inside, please,” she placed a kiss on your temple as she pushed a finger back in. She slowly moved it, drawing out moans from you and causing you to grip her leg. You could feel the coil in your stomach building, and the stimulation from her playing with your chest was assisting with that.
But you needed so much more, she was moving so slow and one finger could never be enough. And she could tell. “Need more princess?” all you could do was nod, the pleasure fogging your brain. Soon you felt two fingers inside of you, as well as the pace beginning to pick-up. You moved your head back, wanting to hide your head in her chest. But she wouldn’t let that happen, she stopped for a moment and you looked at her confused.
“I want you to look, can you do that princess?” With a nod, you moved your head back down to look. Her fingers were deep in your folds. You almost came at the sight. Her hand begun to pick the pace back up, gradually getting faster and faster. So fast you can barely take it.
The coil in your stomach was ready to burst, and Carol could feel it. With a few more seconds of this, you’d be cumming all over her fingers. And she couldn’t wait for it.
“Are you going to cum? Go ahead, let go,” and you did, seeing stars in the process. She kept pumping in and out of you, letting you ride out the high she had spent so long getting you to and making an absolute mess in the process.
Your breathing got slower, and with that she slowed down and fully pulled out of you. She cleaned off her messy fingers and placed a loving kiss on top of your head. As soon as you were able, you turned to begin to straddle Carol. Pulling her into a real kiss, you placed your hands under her shirt. Being very eager.
ok so i never posted this like anywhere execpt my “professional” art acc, and i literally didn’t think i would but
lost wax casting of carols knife! sculpted from pink wax and casted in yellow bronze.
more about the process below for anyone interested! ↴
so this was my first big boy project of the fall semester!
was this intimidating? yes but very cool.
what i had to do was sculpt a something out of pink wax
what you do after sculpting it is that you place a sprue so the metal and be poured through that and fully cast the sculpture. then you cast the sculpture + sprue in plaster. that process just consists of mixing up some plaster, making sure that there are no air bubbles, and pouring the plaster into the container with your sculpture in it. after that you let it dry out, label it, and yada yada.
then after that you have to place your casting in a kiln for 5 hours so the wax can burnout. (here's where the lost part comes in) and when you take out your mold all the wax is gone, and you are left with a really hot plaster mold (which it's important that it's hot)
i do not entirely know the process of melting the metal as my professor did that lol. and you want to do it with your mold still in the kiln. it's fairly easy though, you just pour how much metal you need in a little graphite cylinder and let it melt in the melting furnace. once it reaches like 1900 degrees (F) you're ready to pour.
you take the mold out of the kiln and place it into a vacuum thing (can be done without a vacuum but yk). you can pick whatever metal you want to cast in, i did bronze because it was cheap. i wanted to do silver to make it wearable but that's expensive (literally $20 per half ounce).
once you actually pour (which is terrifying at first) you want to set your mold aside for a while. i usually waited like 15-30 minutes. 30 seemed to be better considering everytime i did it too early i burnt my hand (rip). and once you waited you stick your still hot mold into water, causing it to sizzle and cool down a lot and making the plaster very weak. and from that point you just dig out your casting! it takes a minute and you will probably need to use a tool to help dig it out (butterknives were my bffs during this process).
from that point its just finishing it! filing down imperfections, polishing, and cutting off extra pieces of metal you don't need/ want to set aside (like the metal from the sprue).
fun fact: i actually made 2 wax knives. why? because my first one didn't cast properly (i cried over it actually it was kinda embarrassing). but yeah. very long and tedious process that i did enjoy.
and if you actually read all of this you are so cool and i appreciate you so much. yeah yeah.
notes: like my last dog related fic, dixon!reader if you squint!

“I swear that dog likes ya more than me,” Daryl's scruff voice boomed over the quiet atmosphere of the house. You looked at him with a smug look on your face while continuing to pet Dog’s soft fur.
“It’s probably because we take afternoon naps together, isn’t that right buddy?” As you said the last part, you took Dog’s face in your hands and ruffled his fur. Causing the furry friend to start wagging his tail. Only causing Daryl to roll his eyes and start to make his way out of your shared house.
“Wha’ever. Goin’ on a hunt,” he made his way to the door, offering a quick wave before departing. You offered a wave back while resting on the couch, Dog quickly snuggled up to you more.
“Now that it’s just us, what do you think we should do today Bud?” Dog moved his head sideways as if he could actually understand you. “Think we should sleep all day?” Your tone was high pitched and excited, making Dog get just as excited. Tail wagging and tongue sticking out. He was all for that idea.
Getting up, you made your way to your bedroom, Dog not far behind at all. As soon as you opened the door, Dog darted past you and made his spot in your bed. Letting out a light laugh you laid down in the bed next to him, snuggling up with him. As soon as you were down you were out, not caring about the world for one minute. Or a few hours.
After what felt like no time at all, you were awoken by Dog’s barking at your bedroom door. Propping yourself up on the bed, you made note of how dark it was and walked over towards your door. A yawn escaped your mouth as you opened the door, the amber light from the hallway enough to blind you. Rubbing your eyes, they adjusted to the change of light as you looked at the figure outside your door. It was Carol, probably returning late from her run to the Kingdom.
“Hey you,” she spoke softly as if to not startle you. You mentally cringed as you realized you probably looked as disheveled as ever. Running a hand through your messy hair, you let out a soft sigh. “Didn’t realize you were coming back so soon,” your voice was rough but soft. Nothing a cough couldn’t fix.
“Honey, how long were you out?” she inquired, a big smile creeping onto her face as she kept looking for you. You felt embarrassed, knowing you had practically slept the day away. “The nap was Dog’s idea,” you held up your hands in defense, as if she would really scold you for sleeping.
Carol could only giggle, looking at Dog and giving him a few pets. “Can you really blame him? Everythings so slow nowadays,” her focus was on Dog, showing him all the love in the world. You almost started to feel jealous, if that was even possible.
“Guess not,” a yawn soon left your mouth as you stretched out your back. Carol gave you a playful look, almost like she was questioning you. “Still sleepy honey?” you so desperately wanted to say no, but the weighing feeling of sleepiness was no doubt obvious.
“Haven’t been sleeping well with you gone,” you said sheepishly. Carol’s hands soon found your arms as she rubbed them, giving you a sympathetic look. “I’m here now,” after she spoke she grabbed her hand and dragged you back to the bed. She laid you down and left you there as she got her stuff in order.
It had felt like an eternity before she eventually made her way to your bed. She laid down beside you and was quick to capture you in her arms, holding you tight. Almost as if you would escape if she didn’t.
It felt great, finally having her back. But there was one minor issue. “Dog’s not going to be happy, he lost his cuddle buddy,” Carol could only laugh as she continued to hold you and slowly drifting off herself. “He can deal with it for one night.” And he did, as you found him at the foot of your bed the following morning.
Hiii!! can u write a rosita angst >.< i love your fics btw!!:))

It stung like a bitch, it made you wonder how you didn’t notice it sooner.
Was it adrenaline? Was your mind focused on something else? You didn’t know.
The blood had even soaked through your shirt, fuck. You wished you had noticed it sooner. But it wasn’t even like you could’ve done to help your case in the first place.
The bite was on your side, almost to your hip. Couldn’t even amputate if you tried. Not to mention, the infection sure as hell is in your blood now.
Holding back tears that were almost out of your control, you quietly made your way out to the living room of the home you shared with Rosita. You couldn’t even speak, words threatening to come out but just couldn’t.
Your mind was racing, a million thoughts going through your head. Ones like, how could you let this happen? How didn’t you notice? So many questions with such little time to get answers.
You just managed to stand near Rosita, body trembling. You were sure it was visible as when she looked at you, a panicked expression was painted onto her face.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” she spoke softly, swiftly getting up to look at you. Rosita checked over you, just looking fast. All you could do was look at her, the words “I’m bit” not being able to leave your mouth. Right as she finished her once over, she made eye contact with you. Just shaking your head with a “no” you lifted up your shirt for her to see.
The deep walker bite. Or death sentence.
The color draining from her face was almost instant, like she had seen a ghost. And maybe she had.
“No. No, this can’t be happening. No.” The anger in her voice was not at you, but just a reaction out of fear. “How? When?” But once again, no words could come out. It was like someone had taken out your vocal cords.
Rosita was trying to think of a solution, one to make sure you lived. But there was nothing either you or her could do. The clock is ticking, and it’s for sure ticking way too fast for you. And her.
Suddenly, the world froze and you finally broke. Falling down in anguish, the dam in your eyes breaking as well.
An overwhelming sense of doom washed over your whole body, this was the end and you didn’t know what to do. Rosita was doing the best she could to comfort you, trying to hold back her own emotions to help you figure out yours. She couldn’t hide the expression on her face though, she was feeling almost the same amount of anguish as you.
It felt amazing to cry all the emotions out, but it was only to be followed up with an empty feeling.
You just sat on the ground, staring off. Rosita sat with you, attempting to hold you close. Or hold you as much as you’d let her.
After a long, almost uncomfortable silence, you spoke. “I have a little while longer. The fever hasn’t set in yet,” your voice was soft, but out enough to get Rosita to dart her head to look at you.
“What do you want to do?” Rosita’s question rang in your head. What did you want to do? You weren’t quite sure, but something you did know was that you wanted to be with Rosita. You wanted her to be there when you went. And you sure as hell wanted her to be the one to not let you turn.
“Let it happen.” You had sounded so defeated, your fight meant nothing now. Rosita could barely contain herself, but she had to stay strong for you. She couldn’t begin to imagine how you were feeling.
“Do you want any-” you were fast to cut her off. “No,” you just wanted her around. No one else. You didn’t want this to be such a big deal, which to Rosita it was. But it was all your choice, and she had to respect it no matter what. “Act like it didn’t happen. I want to feel a little normal when I go. Please?” You sounded desperate. Rosita could just tearfully nod. She stood up and wiped her red eyes, brushing her hands on her pants as she looked at you.
Forcing a smile on her face, she asked you one simple question. “What do you want for dinner?” So simple, yet just what you wanted to have your mind on right now.
Things that evening had managed to feel a decent bit normal. Rosita had made you dinner and the both of you ate together, reminiscing on the old times. Not to be sad, but think about the good memories you had. The both of you cleaned the kitchen together, and that's when the fever started.
In an instant, full body chills engulfed your body. It felt like you were on fire, but also freezing to death. It wasn't bad yet, low grade if you wanted to be technical. But you could surely feel it.
Rosita wasn’t aware of the fever starting, you didn’t know if you could even tell her. But there wasn’t any hiding for much longer.
A sudden feeling of dizziness hits you, the kind you get when you stand up too fast. “I think I’m going to lay down,” Rosita’s permanent smile faded after you spoke. She knew what was next, and she didn’t like what was going to happen.
The process of the fever setting in took forever, and it was long and painful. You couldn’t remember the last time you had felt this sick. All you felt was tired, you wanted to sleep. But you couldn’t let yourself do that, not yet at least. Needing to stay a little while longer, at least for Rosita.
She sat beside you on the bed. She protested at first, wanting you to have the full bed but you declined. Just wanting her to be as close as possible to you. Your head rested on her shoulder, occasional kisses on your forehead would be planted by her anytime you even seemed remotely uncomfortable.
For the first time in what felt like forever you broke the silence. “Remember when we first met?” With your throat being dry, your words sounded rough. But Rosita smiled fondly, thinking about the memory you had just triggered in her head. “I was a bitch to you,” the memory turned into a fond one. Going from complete strangers to frenemies to lovers, it was a stereotypical teenage love story but you didn’t care. It was perfect, you both were perfect.
“I always fall for people that don’t like me. And this time I’m glad I did,” you laughed dryly. With losing strength you couldn’t raise your head, but you could feel Rosita shaking and the squeeze of her hand on yours. Her sobs could be heard, they were quiet but noticeable.
“Please, don’t go,” she could barely make out the words as she continued to bawl, the never ending tears staining her face.
Time was running out, you both knew it. And with that, Rosita moved you so that you could lay on your side looking at her. She laid on her side next to you, holding you. Doing her best to make this process as painless as possible.
Weakly, you raised up your hand to her face, using your thumb to clean off some tears as best as you could. Your hand rested on her cheek, slowly rubbing it.
“I love you Rosita, I’ll see you on the other side.” This was it, time was up. The clock has stopped ticking.
“I love you too (Y/N). I’ll love you forever” And with that, you closed your eyes. Letting yourself rest for good.

It had been a few months since the prison really began to feel like ‘home’. At first, it never did, the floor too cold on bare feet to feel like home, the walls too smothering. Cells that felt nothing like a proper bedroom. But it was safe – you could actually sleep without fear of being wakened by the dead’s appearance.
Slowly, the coldness of the prison began to warm up into something that felt like home. The bones didn’t change, no matter how much you tried to dress it up, putting worn posters on concrete walls didn’t hide what was beneath in your cell. But the warmth slowly begun to seep into the cracks, the once smothering walls feeling like home.
Little things, like shared dinners with everyone, almost like a big, happy family brought warmth. Everyone being content, safe in the shared home made it feel more like a proper home.
Carol, most of all, helped with that feeling.
It wasn’t a planned thing; one night she was complaining about the ache in her shoulder from her rifle’s kick and a few hours later, you wound up in her cell, her sitting between your legs as you helped ease that ache. A few days later, it happened again. And again. Soon enough, you just went there every night, even when there was no need to.
Countless late nights were spent in her cell with her. Whether it had a reason or not, sometimes as little as sharing well worn books and chatting about whatever was within.
Sometimes she offered for you to stay the night. You always declined.
The closeness you had come to seek out every night was comforting, but also a little overwhelming. Staying overnight felt like fiction, something that was only dreamt of between worn pages. Not something that would – or should – happen to you.But despite the answer you always gave, she kept offering. A little hopeful each night, but never pushing either.
“It’s getting late, you know,” Carol murmured. Breaking the quiet that fell between the two of you, only the quiet sounds of the others walking around outside her cell to be heard.
Heaving a sigh, you pushed yourself upright, hands on the edge of her bed. “See you tomorrow then?”
“Or you can stay,” she offered. Eyes meeting yours, expectant, a little hopeful. “There’s room for two you know,” she added, a little teasing.
“There’s barely enough room for one,” you replied with a huff. Looking around the small cell, there wasn’t much room to move around. Not without bumping into one another or without feeling like you were on top of each other.
“You really want to make the long, cold walk back to your cell?” She smirked a little, playing up the somewhat cold, albeit very short walk on bare feet to your cell just next door.
Looking over at her in surprise, you were quiet a moment, mind flooding with all sorts of wandering thoughts. You and her had grown close, closer than either of you were with anyone else, but it made you nervous.
Carol was a touchy woman. She liked having a hand on your arm, brushing a shoulder against yours when standing beside you, keeping you close when you spent your evenings together in one of your cells.
She acted similarly with a few others, comforting touches, a hug – it wasn’t something directed solely at you, but after being alone so long, all of it caught your attention. No matter how small, it never failed to snatch your attention. Maybe you just were used to being alone, the only touches harsh when fighting for survival, or maybe she really did just focus more on you.
Either way, it always left your mind a swirling mess.
She leaned back against the wall, stretching her legs out over the bed and patted the empty space beside here. “C’mere,” she urged.
As much as you knew it was for the best to go back to your cell, you were already moving back towards her on the bed.
“Guess I don’t want my feet to freeze,” you murmured. Settling down beside her, your back against the wall, she leaned back into you. Wrapping an arm around your shoulders, she pulled you into her side, not giving you a chance to overthink it or pull away.
“See?” she said, leaning in a little more to press a kiss to your temple. “Nice and warm here.”
“Starting to think this isn’t just to keep me from freezing,” you muttered, feigning annoyance only for it to be undermined as you shifted to lean into her a bit more. Resting your head against her shoulder, legs curled up against the bed.
Carol laughed, the soft sound sending shivers down your spine. “Mhm, guilty as charged.”
Her arm stayed over your shoulders as she leaned forward, kicking the edge of a blanket up enough to pull up over yours and her legs. Once the fabric settled, she turned the lantern off by her bedside, plunging the small cell into the dark. Faint hints of moonlight crept through the barred window up above the cells, the only source of light.
The rest of the night was quiet, only the sounds of the others moving in their sleep or the creak of the bed underneath you when either of you shifted. And in the morning, you woke up warm, face tucked up against her neck, arms draped over you.
Carol moved first, stretching out aching muscles underneath you. Slowly, barely moving in an attempt at not waking you – though she didn’t realize you were awake long before her.
“Morning,” you murmured, breaking the comfortable silence.
She tensed underneath you a moment, surprise flashing across her face as she looked down at yours before relaxing once again. “Morning.” She rubbed a hand over your spine, fingers light over your back. “Sleep okay?”
Nodding, you pushed yourself closer to her, the warmth of her skin against yours leaving your still sleep hazed mind a little more foggy than normal. “Yeah. You?”
“Never better,” she replied. A small smile broke out on her lips, her other hand going to your jaw. Fingers tracing over the soft skin, pulling your chin up to face her better. “It’s still early… we could stay a little longer?”
Leaning into the palm of her hand, your eyes fluttered shut. “I’d like that.”
She shifted again and before you could open your eyes again, you felt her lips on your cheek, just barely grazing the corner of your lips. Too close to not be on purpose.
Warmth flooded your cheeks, eyes opening, only to be met with her looking down at you with a teasing grin on her lips.
Breath caught in your throat, your mind wandering as she just laid back, watching. As if she knew it had sent your mind into a tailspin – all of it too much and too little at once. But before your mind could slow, a sudden burst of courage clawed at your mind – warmth was too hard to come by lately, it had to be held onto however possible.
And then you leaned upwards and kissed her properly.

Rick’s plan to bring together all the communities to build the bridge was less than ideal for almost everyone involved. The so-called “Saviors War” had just ended and having to work with them seemed almost impossible.
It was almost impossible to just forget what the Saviors have done, just let go. But you all at least had to try if you wanted to get this work done.
Thankfully most of the Saviors have proven to be no trouble, wanting the same thing every other community wanted. But there's always those few outliers, the ones that only cooperated because they would get in trouble otherwise.
One Savior in particular, you weren’t sure what part of the cause he was on. But you knew he had a thing for you. Oh man was that way too obvious. You found out through one of the Savior leaders his name was Rob. A nice guy you guessed, but all way too charismatic and he didn’t know how to take the hint.
You had thought you and Carol’s on-going relationship had been obvious. Hell the both of you could barely keep your hands off each other when the day was done. But some people were just too oblivious when they chose to be.
As the work days kept going, Rob’s flirtatious antics got more and more common. Usually it would just be a comment here and there. But it soon progressed into full blown conversations that you desperately didn’t want to have.
Attempting to ignore him didn’t work, if you did he would pester you more and more. He was even blatantly ignoring the “I’m in a relationship” facts you told him probably a hundred times by now. He would not let up, no matter how hard you had tried.
A possible solution to this could be having Rick or Daryl talk to the guy, but you feared that would end in him getting punched into next year. Another solution is having Carol help you out. But she was so defensive, especially when it came to you. And you feared for what she would do upon hearing about that fool.
So you stayed quiet, opting to resolve the issue by yourself. Which you guessed was futile considering the situation you found yourself in now.
Sitting outside of you and Carol’s shared tent, you worked on sharpening some dull tools you wanted to still use. You considered this your “break” before having to deal with hauling the wood and actually working on assembling the bridge.
As you worked on the tools, the all too familiar figure of Rob casted its shadow over you. Dreading the interaction you were about to have. You tried to mentally prepare, which absolutely did not work.
“Hey pretty lady-” he started, trying to act all sly before you quickly cut him off. “Don’t call me that.” You were snippy, just trying to make him go away. Of course, it never worked with guys like him though. If anything it attracted them more.
He stepped back, hands in the air acting offended. An attempt to be funny. It was almost sad how desperate this man was acting. He was silent for a few seconds before opening his mouth again. All you did in return was desperately focus on your own task. You were successful in tuning him out, ultimately though Rob had managed to bring you back into reality.
He placed his hand on your shoulder, causing you to jolt up a bit. After he had your full attention, his flirtatious comments started up. He kept complimenting your looks, how pretty you look when you’re focused, et cetera. All the sugar coated comments creeped you out, it was all too much from a guy that barely knew you.
As you were about to act out on the man, your saving grace. Actually, your guardian angel as you preferred to see it.
The sudden feeling of Carol's hands on your side made you feel safe. She softly turned you around to look at her, facing you away from Rob. Her expression was soft with you, but got stern every time she took a glance at Rob.
“Honey, I’m happy to see you. Feels like it’s been ages,” Carol spoke softly. It was loud enough for both you and Rob to hear. Her comment made you smile like a goofball, which Carol loved. She then pulled you in for a soft kiss, something she rarely ever did in front of people. Doing it to prove a point, and also because she missed you so much.
Rob had decided to take his leave while you and Carol were occupied, not even saying a word. A little bit after he left, Carol pulled away from you and placed her hand on the side of your face. Smiling sweetly she began to speak, “that got him away from you hm?” Her comment made you get all red and embarrassed, which only made Carol giggle. “I tried to get him to back off, but it never worked,” you said quietly, a little ashamed of yourself that you didn’t mention this sooner.
Carol could only giggle again, taking this whole situation more light-hearted than you thought. “It’s not your fault honey. He’s a weirdo.” You nodded in agreement, “tell me about it.”
“I can’t lie though, I’m jealous he got to be around you more than I could be. And only I can admire you and sweep you off your feet.” Her tone was part humorous and part serious. You almost weren’t sure if she was joking or not, but she was right. She was the only one who could do that.
“Well, if you get jealous again. I should get more kisses, make it known I’m yours.” Carol’s eyebrow raised at the suggestive comment, she liked it.
im rewatching the walking dead and when rick is talking to shane about merle, he mentions he trapped him up there like an animal. and how “nobody deserves to die like that”
and in s9 daryl is talking to henry about his traps and he mentions how they aren’t for animals. because nobody deserved to die like that, trapped.
that’s probably a huge coincidence but i thought that was really neat.
