i have been waiting to buy this book, since alexene published 'my mechanical romance' i was hooked on her work and wanted more. so the moment this was shown available i was buying it to read. it was such a nice read!
the main character and love interest is so likeable and they have their own quirks which shine through the writing, was a joy to read.

i had avoided this book for years, i bought it in for 50p in a second hand bookshop in largs and then had it collecting dust as i didn't think it would be great.
i have never ugly sobbed at a book quite like i have with this one. this has to be one of my now all-time favourites. it's heart-wrenching in the romantic sense as well as platonic friends. it's horribly sad but leaves you needing more and finding the missing pieces between the lines.
i will recommend this to anyone that wants a hard-hitting love story of not only a girl and her university boyfriend but her old friend.

this book is a perfect starter to the new year filled with cosy chai, enemies to lovers and non toxic-jealously. loved every moment of it front to back and will definitely re-read it at some point.
the love interests are likeable characters, making it an easier and more bearable read. love love love.ᐟ
