I will try to keep this concise: my brain is different now and I no longer fear experimenting and learning technical art things + I am very eager to do so. Vulnerable admission in case this helps anyone else: I was convincing myself that “perspective” just isn’t for me! But in truth I feared learning it because of a buried belief that perspective among other technical art skills are for the Intelligent Artists/People (not me, no.)

But it’s fine. It is for me to learn. And I have so much to learn! Drawing these boxes (finally!!!) was thrilling! They are so hard! They elucidated to me what my Brain can learn! And there’s so much, and it is exciting.

So, I’m trying to think in the third dimension while drawing now, the little hornet and sherma doodle I did yesterday, you can see how I redrew hornets body at least ten times hahaha.

I will practice the boxes again 🙂‍↕️

Another attempt... I feel sensations happening in my brain as I do this exercise 🫪 I feel like I am a two and half year old trying to figure out a picture puzzle piece for the first time

no leaves, but plenty of eyes.

inspired by me spacing out on a long drive & staring at trees. this happened earlier this year, and birches ended up growing leaves before i finished the doll.

all branches & roots are made of metal wire + hot glue, which makes them poseable and also keeps them from snapping.
