A pity, though it’s probably for the best. That spell isn’t quite perfect, it has a small probability of generating hordes of locusts. Only a 50% chance or so. Maybe 60%.

That is… Concerning, to be sure. Perhaps she went on vacation without mentioning it? Or attending a conference that she cannot speak of? There are possible explanations for this that do not require concern…
Do you have a piece of her magic? Her wand would be preferable, but anything she’s personally enchanted would do. I haven’t tested it entirely, but I’m working on a theoretical method of tracking a person’s magic, like a hound tracks a scent…
Both those scenarios have crossed my mind. However, the only one viable enough to actually have a possibility of being accurate would be the conference. She would never go on vacation without informing me.

Marina looked at her sister who had suddenly asked her a question. “Yes it is.” She told her slightly confused by her sisters urgency.
"Marina, thank god. Have you heard from mother?"
Sally nodded, collecting her bag, “of course,” she said, gathering her things. “We can apparate there if you like…” she says.
"Yes, I would like to apparate. I'll do it since I know the way."
Ellen walked along, readusting the bag on her shoulder as she walked. Mentally she was going over the things she had to do that day when she heard the panicked voice. “Hm? Oh yes, it is. Why do you ask? Are you all right?”
"I'm perfectly fine, it's just... I haven't heard from my mother in two weeks and I'm very worried."
-she sighs- I’m afraid that with all of the disappearances occurring in the area it would be best to file a missing person’s report. It’s too early to assume anything but it would be best to get the ball rolling on that just in case. "Oh god, no. My mother means the world to me, I can't think of any negative consequences or I will lose it." No, she usually doesn't speak to my sister all that often, not like me. She talks to me every other day without fail. You used to go to Hogwarts, yes? You know how she was with schedules! Yes, yes she is, but she doesn't live in town. She lives over in Hogswing which is the next town over. She has her own home.

Mr. Irving, thank goodness, someone who might actually can do something. You may think this is lame for someone like me, but I talk to my mother every other day. Every other day without fail. Yet I have heard nothing from her for two weeks.
I've been deeply troubled for a while, but it didn't fully hit me until right now.
Without missing a beat she answers, “yes it is,” she had written the date often enough that day to know it for certain.
No no, that can't be right. I keep looking at the calendar and I know it says the 16th, but if that's true... then it's been two weeks. That's not right, not right at all!
Eve was furiously going over a calender and looking more and more distressed. Seeing someone near her, she turned toward them and spoke in a panicked tone. "Today is the 16th, correct?"
"Wow… That’s like having an honest animal. What did you feel it? Dogs?"
The funny thing was, I didn't feed it at all. It lured it's own food somehow. I didn't ask questions.
"I suppose that can be a good thing…. but it’s not a good thing if you become too tough you know?” Marie said that a bit hesitantly hoping not to offend Eve.
"No no, don't get me wrong. I know when to pick my battles! You're right, being too tough is bad for relationships. They can turn toxic quickly."
