A Diego reader bodyguard AU where the reader has already had two attempts on their life. (Its the her mother's fault)
[yuna note]: im not sure what u mean by the last part, but i’ll try my best!
when your mother hires a body guard, your first thought is that you don’t need one. if someone wanted you gone that badly, then they would’ve hired assassins and not some stupid gangs to attempt to beat you down.
watching the man from outside in his black car, you’d squint at him, “what’s your name?” your first question when he entered your home made him snort. “really? you want the first name basis already?” “i want to know who’s going to be taking the shots for me. the name is the least you’re giving me.”
he snorts again. “diego.” “nice to meet you,” you give him your hand to shake, “i’m [y/n].” diego nods, keeping your name in his mind.
diego’d half expected this to be easy. an easy job for keeping someone like you alive. but he was wrong. another two attempts were made on your life, and both times diego had shielded you from them. it was crazy. what the hell did they want with you?
“what the hell have you done for them to want you so badly?”
“i don’t know, diego. the most i do in my daytime is help the homeless and stray animals.”
“no, i just stay in my room and research stuff.”
“time. like, space and time. quantum physics, the time continuum. those sorts.”
“right. and you’re that smart because?”
“i have a lot of free time.”
he thinks you’re down right ridiculous. the fact you’d even decided to educate yourself in regards to time and space makes him wonder what the hell you were like as a kid.
“so, i know you’ve basically killed the guys who want me and all, but.. do you want to - i don’t know, stick around?”
“yeah. yeah, sure. i think you and my brother will get along, too.”
