The last time she had seen it, it was locked up. Guess he got tired of being down there.

“You look like you’re trying to find something.” A look behind him, and she could see some of the damage. “But you really shouldn’t hurt people while you’re doing it. Destroying everything isn’t going to get you anything but trouble.”

A part of her was telling her to run while she could, since she wasn’t exactly fight-ready at the moment. But it seemed somewhat safe to talk to him. Still, she pulled her gloves off along with her jacket, tying it around her waist and putting the gloves in the pockets. Still not much of an advantage, but it would give her a chance at defense if he did attack.

“Now the pros are probably gonna come soon. Maybe you should just try walking around obstacles instead of tossing them, ok? I mean, look.” He told her to move, even though he could easily step to the side, arms waving at her sides to demonstrate this. “Where are you trying to go, anyway?”

The girl’s sudden collapse to tears caught her off guard, with Nariko almost having no idea what could she do to ease the other, as she fell to the ground.

Waiting for the other to slowly appease herself, Nariko slowly and steadily approached her and knelt on her one foot, gently rubbing the other’s back, to ease the crying.

“It’s okay, it’s okay…It probably wanted you to let it out, shhh…” Her words were nothing more than soft, comforting whispers at that point.

It took a few minutes, but the sobbing quieted down. “I’m sorry..... I’m weak, aren’t I?..... I-it was nothing, I panicked over nothing.” A stranger had seen her while she was in this state, it was kind of embarrassing.

At the same time, it was nice to be comforted, even if they didn’t know each other. “I.... I don’t even know you, and I’m pretty sure you don’t know me. Why.... Why are you being so nice?”

"Your breathing pace is all over the place. You should try and calm down a little."

Since when has telling someone to calm down ever worked? It felt like her lungs had stopped working, like she was choking on air, the others words didn’t reach her. “C… can’t….” Hands on her throat, clawing at it as if that would help. 

More than anything, she felt stupid for having this little panic attack, especially since there was another person here. When she finally did come down, she was staring down at the floor eyes filled with tears. “….I…. I’m sorry…”

“That’s because you are one. The worst part is, you don’t even know it.”

“And maybe you’re far too old to realize that I’m not stupid just because I’m young. The only difference is, I just choose not to be a total asshole over it.”

“I mean, it is what it is. No matter how strong our teachers are, they’re only human. They can’t save everyone, no matter how much they’d like to. I’m already in my second year there, no point in backing out now.” It was still a good school, and things were starting to look good for her there. It had taken a while, but everything was going to be alright in her life. “Nobody thought this was going to happen, they really are trying their best with the situation. If you’re going to insult them, then you’re insulting the parents who let their kids stay.”

“A-alright.” Nothing she hadn’t seen before, but she didn’t have the supplies to fix it either. Considering where the injury was along with the height difference, there was no way to safely carry the underclassman back safely. Looks like she’d either need to find a board, or leave her hear. “Don’t apologize, it wasn’t your fault. I’m going to need to run back for help, just hang in there.”

Orderly. Not quite a word that fit her, as she just ran out the door. Hitori did not know the drill at all.

In all fairness, she had a classroom’s worth of energy in her, that was going to have to come out eventually.

This school likely didn’t have false fire alarms anyway. A fire would be the least of this school’s problems, even so, students were still lining up outside.

It was like she was traveling with a child, one that hadn’t seen any horror movies before. Anyone who had would realize this wasn’t going to end well. Either this store was going to be haunted, or there would be some sort of villain in here.(What kind of villain hid in an Ikea of all places anyway? One with a furniture quirk?)

One tap of a nearby outlet restored the energy she’d need to keep up with the other girl, both of them forgetting that they probably weren’t going to find what they’d bought once they left. “I just kinda figured Ikea hired people with those kinds of quirks. Like, teleportation, warping, speed, illusions, permeation, those kinds of things.” Or maybe the employees just knew what they were doing.

     “Lately more and more UA students have come to this hospital…” Aoi said with worried undertone as she saw a new face coming through the reception where she was talking with the worker. Pushing herself off the counter she slowly approuched the child.

     “Excuse me, you are an UA student, correct? May I ask you something?”

“Hm?” Was this one of the workers? No, it didn’t look like one. “Y-yeah, I am.” Were there other students coming here? Or maybe someone had escaped and was blending in as one of them? “Sure, what is it?”

Maybe she just had a kid that went to U.A., mothers did seem to worry about their kids a lot. But if that was the case, she didn’t look like anybody she would know. “Is this about the last accident they had? They said they were going to fix it.”

It would have been nice, and it was for a while. You’d think in a school full of quirked people, they’d turn off the fire alarm so people with that type of quirk wouldn’t set it off.

But that didn’t happen, so right as she was dozing off, it went off.

This startled her, which never ended well. Since her desk was over by the wall, in an attempt to get up, she slipped, and her hand made contact with the outlet, which caused the lights to go out. “... Sorry.... My bad.”
