There's something left unsaid about the time and environment in between becoming stronger or weaker. Love and or hatred, community or isolation. All of the above can break you and reshape you.
The Esoteric Reformation of the New World
"The doctrine of Sola Scriptura implies the Kabbalistic notion that the Scriptures are alchemically encoded with mystical wisdom, which can only be decoded by the individual interpreter acting as the “key” to unlock their true meaning.16 Moshe Idel is among many Jewish philosophers to point to this notion in describing Kabbalah as “the keys sacrosanct, even in the eyes of the Jew, that could unlock the gates of the mysteries of the Scriptures, demonstrating Christian truths using Jewish rules."
[...]
“It opened the gate to total subjectivism in religion. And thereupon he gives us a key also to today because this same principle, the individual —whatever I believe, whatever I think has a right to be heard — then becomes the standard. He himself finally achieved some kind of dogmatic system and tried to force it on his followers. But the very idea which he fought for was that each individual can interpret for himself; and therefore from him come sects.”
It has always been wild to me that Protestants who rightly believe in objective truth don't see how sola scriptura makes truth subjective
Interesting to be seeing this. Just today, I was having a conversation with a Christian man and his wife.
I asked which church he attended, & he asked the same. I have a favorite church outside of town but it's not always possible for me to go due to my vehicle.
He then asked me what their recent Bible study was about - I reiterated it's been awhile since I've been but I study on my own; giving him an example of one of my favorites in Corinthians where it says we all are a part of the Body of Christ.
He asked if I was a Christian. I said that I believe in God and the resurrection of Christ - but I don't consider myself a Christian. I said that I enjoy studying other religions as well. I provided Judaism as an example and tried to explain in simple terms how in Judaism it's taught that we are manifestations of the mind and voice of God.
That's where the conversation derailed. He asked if I believed in God, I reiterated that yes I believe in God, the one who created all things. I think he next asked, "which God?" Which confused me, as I literally just stated "The Creator of all things". I injected my own speculation on every culture having their own name for the creator. And I think that was his "gotcha" moment.
I realized that he wasn't asking me out of genuine curiosity, but was testing me. To see if I believed "correctly".
It was unnerving. Thankfully the conversation naturally ended soon after.
The body of Christ explains how every single one of us are no more or no less important. The mind of God: The kabbalah provides a very good explanation on how the Light of God in coordination of the placement of Assiyah (where we are) provides us Free Will.
Guess I'm a heretic for having an individual interpretation without claiming any settled and final belief.

Controlled Distribution of Information unchecked becomes a form of infrastructural control. Those who decide what's true do not bear the same cost as those who suffer under the narrative. The dangerous thing about information is that it looks like knowledge.
Stop warning me about mature content I'm literally an adult
"Sex is what makes us human" is stupid. Almost every species fucks. Humans are the only species that jumps motorcycles over school buses that are on fire. Some other things too probably
today I learned that in 2008, the city council of florence overturned dante’s sentence of execution if he returned from exile. yes, dante’s inferno dante, who died in 1321.
but the funniest part of this is not that they were debating the exile of a man who has been dead for over 500 years.
the funniest part is that the vote was 19-5. five people voted to uphold dante’s exile.
The objectively funniest part of this is actually that the city that holds his remains, Ravenna, refused to give his remains back. This was a ploy from florence to have his remains moved back for the tourist money and its been ongoing for a long time. Florence had a fake tomb built in the city to trick people into visiting, and have tried to force the return of the remains.
His actual caretakers have been very steadfast in keeping them hidden, moved, or generally out of reach to respect his choice in life to never, ever, ever return to florence, even when he was first offered the chance to return. This is at this point an almost millenium long feud that florence is really, really mad about losing
so basically the five people who wanted to uphold his exile were in the right
