A tale of referendum
This land is full of mystery, Dotted with runes. Its people sing, And great creatures listen - Dragons, lions, and unicorns.
In the beginning the dragon ran free forging its magic in poetry and faith. The unicorn grazed and searched for truth and fortune. The lions, then mere cubs bore the form of its foreign invaders.
The dragon grew old, where as the cubs grew strong, bones lined with steel. The dragon and lion fought until the dragon submitted, its mysticism and words were no match for the lion’s brutality. It became but a vassal.
(Also Northern Ireland exists but has less symbology)
The unicorn was more cunning. It battled against the lion. The two fought as equals. The unicorn’s mistake of trying to take fruits from foreign lands that was its greatest mistake. The fruit was poisoned, and the unicorn became sick. The unicorn offered the lion its companionship in exchange for the lion’s healing tongue.
And so the lion sucked out the poison from the unicorn. They fought off the tyrannical frogs and bears; they shared their hunt and wealth. With little choice but very willingly the dragon and unicorn helped an built upon the land, they prospered until they considered themselves equals.
As the unicorn and dragon became stronger from the meat and protection, once again were able to freely think. They wanted to wander free once again, but could it take the risk?
304 years had now past and this was a much scarier and bigger world. There were more beast, scarier and bigger beasts from lands previously unthinkable lands. Perhaps the being have too long depended on its companionship.
The lion, now contented with the fruits of their labour sadly obliged - but posed the question of warning, without solidarity, how long would they survive?
The dragon loosened its chains, but stayed where it was. The unicorn pondered whether to take the first step forward with a strong internal battle. Was the painful walk away worth it, to once again freely walk the land and be free from the lions claws?
The unicorn decided to stay where it was, but gave the lion a thorough thwack on

So you’ve probably seen the news of Michael Gove’s educational reforms…In this weeks edition of his educational escapades the headline is on English. Yes, the eternal leader has taken the ‘Great Leap forward’ of banning...
Language and Strokes
Unfortunately, many survivor of strokes find that the part of the brain where most language was stored has been damaged, rendering them unable to speak, or aphasic, however different areas of language are stored in different areas of the brain, for example, stroke patients can often singing songs known fluently, non only this, but singing these songs can be an effective form of therapy (see more) ; another area of the brain that is often able to work, rather unfortunately for some, is the area where profanity is stored; therefore many (5-40%) patients find them selves involuntarily effing and blinding in situations where they mean to be speaking, this is called Coprolalia- e.g - "Darling, can I have the tea please?" -> "Fuck"
