Don't let a few blemishes dim your shine." Smiling softly, you say "Thank you for always being so understanding and supportive. I'm grateful to have you by my side." “You don't have to thank me, love. It's my privilege to be here for you, no matter what. Together, we'll overcome any insecurities and grow stronger. You mean everything to me, and I want you to see yourself through my eyes. You're not defined by any imperfections; you're defined by your resilience, your compassion, and the love you bring into my life every day. You and Jake were friends from elementary and shared EVERY secret, tea, and even rumors with each other. You both were inseparable, studying together, playing together and you both went to the same school too. Both your parents and his parents would often joke about u both being siblings in your past lives.

It so happened that one day, when your parents were going on a vacation for their wedding anniversary and his parents, heaven knows where. You had to stay with Jake for a week or two. You packed ur bag, crossing out everything to see if u were done. You hurriedly rushed downstairs and hopped into the car. Once at Jake's house, you were shown your room, a neatly arranged guest room. “Y/n, we’re leaving dear.” you heard ur mom say and rushed to bid goodbyes. It was late when Jake came back from soccer practice and seeing ramen on the table, he dropped his bag and sat down with you. You both talked for hours sharing your latest rumors and about his friends. It was already late into the night when you both had slept.

The next morning, you woke up to Jake's loud shriek. Worried, you run to the kitchen only to see him cooking breakfast. Laughing at his clumsiness, you decide to give him a hand. After breakfast, you both decided to go on a walk in the park nearby with Layla, Jake's pet dog. You both lay down on the picnic mat, tired after running around playing with Layla. Out of the blue, Jake turns to you and asks “Do you like anyone? You tell me everything about ur friends and school but not once about ur crushes.” You were confused, why was he asking this? You wanted to tell him but you were not sure about his reaction. Fearing that your 8-year friendship would fall apart, you didn’t want to tell him that it’s him that u like. You replied, “Well I’ll tell u mine but you go first.” “It’s you, I like you y/n” You were surprised, more than him liking you, he was so calm about it. “Now you,” he said turning to you from the sky again. Your heartbeat was racing for no reason, the pink hue visible on ur cheeks. You muttered a soft “I like you too, Jake” Hearing this, Jake jumped up to face you, a small smile creeping onto both your faces. The rest of the day you didn’t talk much just headed home, had food, and slept. The next evening, however, you came back from school tired only to find the living room cutely decorated. Confused you walk up to Jake's room and see him wearing a pair of pajamas just like yours. “U ready for our first mini date girlfriend?”

You lay in bed scrolling on ur phone with a slight headache. Feeling the pain increase, u get off of ur phone and glance at the clock only to notice it’s 2 in the morning. You and Sunghoon had a fight it this was probably the third day you’ve gone without talking to each other.

It all started on a fine day, warm coffee, 9 in the morning on a cozy Saturday. You sat on the sofa with Sunghoon, against his arm for warmth. You both were watching a new series with breakfast and coffee. Everything was fine until his phone vibrates with a notification and you slightly lift ur head to see. ‘Choi Eunkyung, hey hoon!’ “Weird” you thought. Laying back on his arm you start losing ur focus on the series and start overthinking, what if she’s prettier, what if he likes her?? You were going nuts and decided to go to the washroom to calm down. And if u thought Sunghoon hadn’t noticed u getting all worked up, u were wrong. Just as he was abt to ask u if u were okay, you got put and rushed to the washroom. The next day, feeling useless and unworthy of Sunghoon's love when he had someone else, you texted ur old high school friend, Kim Junghe. You talked for a while and left ur phone open on the bed intentionally for Sunghoon to see. It was not just that girl bothering you, Sunghoon had changed, he gpbecame quite, showed no interest in what you talked abt, he just seemed so unhappy with you. But then again you didn’t know if you were just overthinking. That evening, the house was loud, you both were shouting. Not wanting to listen anymore you break down and lock ur self up in ur shared room. He came, said sorry but ntg worked in ur head since  it was the first time he had ever raised his voice at you, you didn’t understand why tho. (end of flashback)

You walk up to the kitchen noticing Sunghoon laying on the couch eyes wide open. You get ur self a cup of water and plop down on the chair next to the counter placing ur cup on the table. You were overthinking again but this time around, Sunghoon got up, got himself a can of beer and sat down next to u. “Isn’t this the third can today?” u ask concerned. He nods his head with a soft ‘mhm’ as a response. Looking back at ur cup, you ask him “did you really love me?” The atmosphere got heavy, the air darkened around you two. “I had 33 pages all abt u in my diary, ur cafe order, ur moms birthday too. I had ur ring size too.” You notice him start to tear up. “I had dreams abt our family y/n, those were my happiest nights…” his voice was unstable, eyes red with sorrow. You couldn’t help but pull him into a hug. He rested his face on ur shoulder as you rubbed his back, running ur fingers thru his hair. He slowly raised his head to face you, eyes meeting urs, “Park Eunkyung is the latest staff of ur favorite shop, I had asked them for ur dream purse in a cute, gift like wrapping for our two year anniversary. I’m sorry, sorry for raising my voice at u, I’ll block her if u want.” Your heart sank seeing him cry, “Hoon, I love you so much but seeing another girl you’ve never mentioned made me go nuts I’m sorry. Sorry for texting someone else, sorry for being mad at you, sorry for shouting at u without even knowing what was wrong.”

You cuddled and placed butterfly kisses all over his face just to see him flustered and smiling with his fangs out. He cupped your face and said “Ur my whole world y/n” the sincerity in his voice was evident “I love you too hoon”.

You would get on ft to call him every night to tell him abt ur day, tour etc. one night, drained and tired, you mumbled a soft “I miss u seungie I rly do” although both of u weren’t rly awake at that late of an hour, Heeseung heard it and the only thing he could wish for atm was to run to you and huge u big bear hug followed by a kiss on the forehead 

Jay: 

Being separated from each other wasn’t easy, for u and for him. You missed his dinner made with love, his touch, his gentle voice, you missed HIM. Ft was ur only choice to video call him and no matter how tired he would be, he always made sure to get on the call and listen to ur stories whether it was boring or not. “and then I just decided to rest” you say will looking into jay's half awake eyes. “I miss you babe, I just wanna be next to u rn” his heart dropped seeing you sad “I miss u too baby, u shld get some sleep”

Jake:

No matter how exhausted u were, seeing him  and hearing his soft voice managed to make u smile. During the day, u would smile going thru ur photos tgthr. It was not too late into the evening when u called him. Excited he picks up on,y to see u laying down looking tired. You go on taking abt ur day until notice him smiling, u were just too pretty in his eyes. feeling sincerity fill the air, u say a soft “I miss u Jake ilysm” to which he smiles 

Sunghoon:

he listens to u blabber and vent even tho he’s extremely tired himself. he just keeps aside whatever he was doing and watches ur eye sparkle as u continue talking abt the best parts of ur day. He feels warm inside listening to u and considering the fact that he doesn’t talk to others that much, ur his radio and he listens to u with ‘mmm’ and ‘ohhh’ as a response in his sleepy state. Finding him cute, u whisper “I miss u hoon. so much.” blood rushed up to his cheeks exposing a pink hue. all giggly, he replies a flustered ‘i miss u too y/nie’
