In response to the recent backlash you received me and my bf started dating a few months ago and we're now engaged. The reason why I love Nalu is because I see myself in Natsu's place. I and my gf used to be besties before dating. I did almost all of the things Natsu did for her while not knowing I was in love with her. We neglected all of the possibilities of us being together because we labeled everything we did for each other as friendship and never felt the need to change that. A big reason was that we were already too much close to each other. Winter cuddling, her wearing my clothes, those forehead touches and forhead kisses, collapsing on her chest or lap after every hard day, hand holding, getting oddly jealous whenever a guy touched her or tried flirting with her and all. We did these things way often to be called just friends. You might not even believe me when I say that I had once brought a truck full of red roses in front of her house because she missed the annual rose festival due to being sick. This thing bought me and her as a Nalu shipper in the first place when we started watching the show three weeks ago. Now we're updated with the sequel as well.

When someone asks how did I even manage to get together with her, honestly it was completely unexpected. I had admitted my feelings for her in a pathetic way because I had thought I was losing her at that time and I literally screamed in the hospital in front of everyone about how I can't live without her and I didn't care whether people call it love or platonic or anything else. All I wanted was her and nothing. I was screaming that I needed her hand in mine while walking through the hardships of my life. She was passed out on the infirmary bed the whole time and she regained consciousness after a week, she was so confused as to why people were laughing at both of us and also wiping their eyes. Funny that I didn't tell her any of that until the day I mustered enough courage to even understand my own feelings. And then I got to know that she loved me all along but thought I wasn't intetested in her. The exact thing Lucy assumes. Which is why I think a lot of Natsu's actions can be interpreted as romantic.
