Prompto watched him, trying to think of what to do now. He wondered if he could just leave, considering now he no longer needed to talk to the man. Or he could try and poke at him and see how he reacts. He didn’t know which one was better. He listened and shrugged, a shit eating grin on his face.
“Gotta keep ‘em low. A lot easier to wow the crowd.” Prompto didn’t truly think that, he just decided that that was a good thing to say there. “Hope you didn’t travel too far.” He almost started adding more sarcastic lines but he pulled himself back.
Will he get bored of this game? Sending back and forth words that supposedly would hurt one another but both of them knew how this worked so it had really little effect.
Ardyn carefully eyed the younger one. He could quite easily pin Prompto to a wall if he were to irritate him too much. But where’s fun in such aimless violence?
The chancellor fidgeted with his halfgloves to remain absolutely calm. Mockery was mockery, he dealt with it quietly so he could speak.
“Sadly, boy, I had to take not one or two steps to get to you today. But could I decline having such audience today. Still, you better make this worth it--”
