OOC: A few facts about Izaya

So, me and toudaimoto-kun feel like the fandom outside Japan is a bit behind with information on that beautiful bastard, so let me introduce a few facts most people don’t know!

First of all, Izaya’s driving license!

Yes. Driving license. Animate was giving those away when volume 9 of the novel was first published in Japan in 2011.

But it’s not only the fact that he can drive that’s interesting! Let’s translate this.

Name: Nakura.

Date of birth: May 4, 1990.

Address: 3-〇-X Higashi Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo.

Date of issue: April 20, 2010.

Date of expiration: June 4, 2013.

Conditions: Glasses/contact lenses, limitation to vehicles weighing up to 8 tonnes, limitation to Automatic Transmisson.

So, not only can he drive, but his eyesight seems not to be perfect.

Apart from that!

Do you know how important business cards are in Japan?

Well. They are. Thus, Izaya is bound to have his own set and give/exchange them as needed. But he can’t exactly write anything like Orihara Izaya, information broker, the shady figure you should stay away from on them, right?

So, who does he claim to be?

A financial planner. His business cards say he’s a financial planner, according to the Orihara Izaya and the Sunset novel.
