Once in her life, Eni was called a troublemaker. Those days are behind her, at least it appears so. Eniola wouldn’t call herself a troublemaker - whoever admits anything like that anyway? In her own words, maybe she would use stubborn or hard-headed. Voicing her opinion was just a part of who she was. She’s come to learn that not everything she thinks should be said. Honesty is not the best policy, people like their feelings protected.

It’s much easier to be cold than to risk the chance of heartbreak again. Too any times, in her opinion, the people she’s loved the most have been the ones that have hurt her. A part of being human, one would day, but if that’s guaranteed then maybe robots do have it better. To be loved and to love others is man’s greatest gift, but it does not come easily.

Security is a joke to her. Obviously they are there for a reason and should be respected but once she learned how easy it was to get away, the woman hasn’t managed to take them seriously since. Granted, she hasn’t been in a dangerous enough situation where she would regret it. It doesn’t help that she doesn’t value her life as much as she probably should.

Princess is an worn out title at this point. With that title she may not make her mark as more than a name in Nigeria’s history. A footnote if she is lucky. With an LL.M from Britain, Eniola is determined to be more than a footnote. Practicing law was never where she thought she would be but it’s where she is now. Eniola never thought she would practice in Nigeria, but she felt called to stay. The ugly white wigs have got to go, it should be retired. That is one of her biggest protests.

Many people assume she’s too prim and proper to get down and dirty with the best of them. Far from true. Eniola spent years playing football (the proper one with the round ball not that oval shaped disgrace), because she saw how much of a hold the sport had on her people. It’s the best form of cardio now and there’s nothing more fulfilling than surprising uncles with knowledge of the game. Though she’s slacked on what players are where in the past couple of years.

On a trip to LA, USA for some reason Eni found herself at a baseball game. Since then she’s been a fan of the sport. It’s America’s best sport to offer.

Dating has never been her strong suite. She’s been engaged for political purposes, proposed to by men she was dating and liked, and even just had a good share of boyfriends yet she kinda just sucks at it. Flirting is not a strength she has and with the right words, she truly gets flustered.

“I’m not convinced you can have both. I am confident half of these people don’t know their own relationships so you possibly aren’t missing out.” What did she know though. Eni followed her gaze then shrugged. “How long has it been since you’ve seen them though?”

Eni raised a brow in disbelief. “A library does not count, unless it’s an architectural wonder.” And Hollister definitely did not count “How are they still in business.” she muttered. That was the world’s greatest mystery. “I know, if I had known Canada would by my destination, I would have waited. I needed a break.”

Granted, on the list of places eniola wanted to visit, canada didn’t make the top 10 countries and it barely made the top 20. she had never heard the country suggested, clearly it wasn’t just her. shoulders lifted in a shrug, “i wasn’t aware that i had to tell you,” it was the regular flow of their relationship. they only seemed to discover things after the fact. “i’m the only one here.” she wasn’t sure if that would ease her sisters mind. eniola gave a nod at the dog, ”... you have a pet?”

Buildings were much closer but if you plan on catching a store here you must leave almost an hour in advance.” 

Nothing he’s saying is making this any better. “You must be joking.” It’s the only thing that makes sense. It’s a joke right? They didn’t really send them to such a dead place. “From Tokyo to here, how depressing that must be.” Maybe it was better she hadn’t joined earlier. “So what do you do to pass your time?”

she had a headache. there were better things eni could spend her time with than... honestly she was still figuring out why she was here. the last things she needed was ireti when she wasn’t in the mood to deal with her — she rarely was. eni cleared her throat, “am I not allowed to be in canada?”
