Floating bodies in space anchor the perspective: an orientation towards knowing and self-awareness. Image becomes truth and origin becomes irrelevant. If I was made from the image of the one true God, let me claim this divine right to become the falsehood of truth. And if the plurality of gods exists in the face of my own image, then I am at war with different reflections of myself.

"Maybe they were right."
They tried to warn me but I wasn't so receptive. All advice from the people around me sounded like cognitive fetters, caging me inside this world made by others. I didn't listen and solipsism became my dogma. My youth and naivety gave me enough confidence that I understood the world better than anyone else. Sacrifice didn't mean anything to me but an excuse to be irrationally selfish. Love wasn't meant for someone like me.
But you see, there is a type of irrationality that can only be understood by being with the world. It took years. Hatred was a learned behavior I learned to cultivate. Hatred was a difficult tool I had to unlearn. To let go of that rage. That inexcusable and infallible wrath justified by the world's inherent cruelty. To let go of violence. To let go of answers.
These are the cost of understanding the world. Maybe they were right. It is more difficult to keep this hate alive without losing my sense of self. Faith is to belief as logic is to reason. Love requires all of the above.

Sub specie aeternitatis II: God of Small Things
It has been forever since I shredded my body for faith. I pray until my thoughts become sentient. Talking to gods gave me the capability to create worlds inside my being. I become enamored by this artistry. To conceive a universe within me is to have a conversation with myself. Only this soliloquy sustains me.
I grow old with a mangled body. I seek immortality within me—in my own creations. I introspect the way archaeologists dig fossils and remains of the past. I uncover artifacts and relics I didn’t know that have been a part of me. I recover and crush them to pieces. I gave these small pieces to the world I created. These artifacts give life to the world of my creation. I become a god isolated in my own mind.
Solipsism cannot be the answer to my omnipotence.

Sub specie aeternitatis I: The Human Abstract
We start with this mantra: I am absolved when I face my fears. So look into the mirror and decipher the messages on my skin—these scars from where I unearth secrets beyond words are also the burial sites of my past selves. A lesson learned, sometimes self-inflicted by my own naivety. What we share is this look of shame and guilt showing not on our faces but in our speech. Sound becomes smoke in an instant we choose to lie, where that smoke is a semblance of life we choose to deny in exchange for a mask, to hide the desire of disappearing in a moment of sudden exposure.
I am free when I embrace the earthquakes coming from this body.

I want the touch of a phantom limb to caress this skin made from the universe’s randomness. Give me a taste of control, even if borrowed by manipulation. The consequences do not matter as long as I taste a flavor of power. A sip, a single lick of the illustrious drop of sweat from Gilgamesh is all I yearn for to disappear. What is a wish but a pitstop for desire?
Unwanted and unabashed. Unfamiliarity gives me enough space to place my naivety. Give me an excuse to be ignorant even for just a moment. I fantasize about things I do not have and make me realize the folly of wanting them in the process. Allow me to fail by taking in more than what I can handle. Show me something I might have missed because I wasn’t paying enough attention.
Remove me from the birth of my ego and unlatch me from this skin made by the gazes of other people.

Infinite Recursion II: The Theater of the Absurd
The self is an endless permutation of the same. It is time divided by moments that individually differ in lengths and gravity of experience. I am an instance and an anomaly normalized by my own numerous iterations. A new variant born out of deviance: the necessary evil.
If I flow like time, then it must follow that every part of me is competing with which aspect of my different selves will take the stage. The narcissistic actors begging to be heard at the same time. The performance is a never-ending improv. Catch different versions of myself simultaneously in an endless soliloquy. A performance of unfinished, tangential, and derivative one-man shows.
Then, the random sequence forms a pattern of habit. Routine turns into boredom. Novelty becomes necessity. Counterculture erupts. The mold disintegrates and is then remade—reconstructed from its own vestige.
When I start again, I must forget for I want to do it all again differently.
