Record World, Roosevelt Field Mall - Garden City, NY (1986)
Mainly falls into the Corporate High-Tech style popular in the 1980s, with some Art Deco-revival influences thrown in (glass block, style of the sculpted robo-statues). And a random Ionic column, because it’s the 80s.

“I was running late to a fashion show so I put together this outfit in a hurried rush while I was doing a face mask! For the top, I went with a vintage silk blouse that I snagged on Poshmark for $12, and I paired it with my Miu Miu micro shorts. I wanted to see more movement in the outfit so I draped this piece of fabric I got from a deadstock textiles store. My trusty fringe boots I found at a flea market in LA. My bag is vintage YSL from eBay. And my vintage lace fan has been the savior of my fashion week—I bought it at an antique store in Paris and it makes me feel like I’m in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. What inspires my style: References! Everything is referential. I love drawing from the past to inform my sense of style in the present—recently, I’ve been really enamored by the allure of early 2000s It Girls who carried themselves with an air of chaotic nonchalance. Rachel Zoe, the Olsen twins, Paris Hilton, Kate Moss.”
