@entp-wholetthedogsout
i made a thing,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,
adding caption,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.
isfj: Where are you going?
entp: To either buy ice cream or commit a felony.
isfj: âŠ
entp: Iâll decide in the car.
ENTP: Telling someone âYou are shitâ and âYou ainât shitâ are both insults.
INTJ: âYou are not shitâ is a reassurance.
ENTP: âYou are not the shitâ is an insult.
INTJ: âYou are the shitâ is a compliment.
ISTJ: Guys, itâs 3am.
i aggressively multitask just to show i can, and then i donât get anything done
How can ENTPs be the most charismatic on one hand but the most "ooops maybe I should think before I talk" type on the other?
So Iâm going to border controversial here and tell you that ENTPs definitely always think before they talk. More specifically, we think of âstupidâ things to say, and say them anyway.
We are quick, we think quickly. Weâre also clever so our quick thinking is often relevant to the situation or funny. But I assure you that if we come off as not thinking before we speak, itâs probably on purpose.
Iâve heard so so many cases of ENTPs who are called stupid because theyâre really quick and deeply sarcastic, so it sounds like a genuine dumb response or lying instead of being funnyâ we grow into better timing and more appropriate sarcastic remarks. But ENTPs are serial overthinkers, we are rationals, weâre just loud about it, and funny âoops maybe I should think before I talkâ moments are a part of the charismaâ Theyâre not planned or anything, but if we can find a way to make a moment funny, weâll often take it. Itâs all a part of the package.Â
THIS. TRUE. i wish people just knew this.
The Friendship Between ENTPs and ISFJs
ISFJ: Hey, we need to talk.
ENTP: uh huh
ISFJ: So I feel like recently we have been drifting apart and--
ENTP: what? when?
ISFJ: As I was saying, I just feel like you're not spending enough time with me you know--
ENTP: oh i was busy lmao you know that
ISFJ: Yeah, if that's how you want to put it.
ENTP: what do you mean? i was legit busy
ISFJ: That's not my point--the thing is--
ENTP: you think it doesn't count as being 'busy' to go to art class, music class, debate club, drama club, tutoring my neighbour, learning guitar and BAKING??
ISFJ: cries
ENTP: shook
INFJ: (while comforting ISFJ) God, why are you always starting a fight? Geez, go easy next time.
ENTP: wait. wE wERe fIGHtinG?
Ti vs Ni searching for truth and 'whys'
This is a lot of questions, dude. :P
I saw that last Te vs Ti post and it remind me of something Iâve been wondering for a long time: how can Ti and Ni be differentiated when it comes to looking for the why of something?
The âwhyâ is shorthand / a lazy way to explain what Ti seeks. The reality is: Ti desires to form an internal framework, or theory of reality; it will sometimes ignore or devalue facts which contradict its internal framework.
For example, I often have run-ins with Ti-using typists who are convinced a character is a certain type and will consistently make the same arguments for the type they have concluded he/she is, and ignore any external evidence / examples that prove them wrong, because their interpretation of functions differs from the system someone else is using. The idea that Ti-users are âopen mindedâ is wrong; they are often unwilling to change their internal system of logic and will have a meltdown when forced to contend with something that does not âseem to fitâ their system. A friend quoted a passage to me, from Stephen Kingâs IT, which embodies Ti precisely, when the character says it was not that he was âfrightenedâ by the monster, but OFFENDED by the monster; because âthose things SHOULD NOT EXIST.â
If you want another example, Sherlock having a total meltdown when he encountered a âghost houndâ in the series is a perfect example of a Ti-dom faced with something that DOES NOT FIT his logical framework of how reality works, so he is flat out rejecting it and/or trying to find a rational reason HOW it could exist, but in a different form than others believe (no ghosts!). Or, the Twelfth Doctor meeting Robin Hood, and batting about insane theories about how heâs a robot, or a hologram, or a puppet, because his foregone Ti-dom conclusion had categorized Robin Hood AS A MYTH, so⊠that canât be Robin Hood, Hood is a myth and does not exist. There must be another explanation.
Ni is symbolic perception, by contrast; it wants to get to the heart of something. It can translate something into a personal symbol (a Ni-dom watching Doctor Who and forgetting heâs a character, instead seeing him as the embodiment of intellectual exploration, so which body he is in doesnât matter that much; heâs still an embodiment of intellectual exploration or whatever); or it can draw an intuitive perception from reading unseen connected threads (to get at someoneâs motives), with the result of the high Ni having total faith in their intuitive conclusions and acting on them (and losing face if they are WRONG).
So, how to distinguish between them, when dealing with the âwhyâ; Ni is the why of a motivation; Ti is the why of existence.
Usually you see Ti as defined by mental curiosity divorced from a necessary purpose for the information, so we have IXTPs, ENTPs and INFJs as examples of people who easily go into rabbit holes for fun. But since Te is supposedly only interested in knowledge for its use, does that mean xNTJs and ENFJs only try and figure things out to serve Te/Fe purposes?
Iâve known plenty of Ni/Ti users who donât give a damn about something unless they are interested in it already; thatâs the human condition. ;)
The rabbit hole thing typically comes into play when the Ni or Ti (usually, a combination of both) is seen as over-analyzing by a Te-type, who reaches the end of their interest and wants to know WHY THAT MATTERS? ENXJs tend to be as intellectually curious as any other type, but at the end of the day, being dominant judging types, they want to DO SOMETHING with the information, either with Te or Fe. Te will put it into practice, Fe will attain greater understanding of human nature with it, which will help them with people.
Why are INxJs credited as having a lot of intellectual flair and not ENxJs? I see a lot of talk about how ENFJs who are very into knowledge doing it to compensate for their inferior Ti insecurity. And ENTJs not bothering to know more than the absolute necessary since their only interest seems to be âachieving thingsâ. 24/7. This has always confused me because I happen to have known quite a few ENxJs in the academic field who are not in it for the accolades, but for finding personal fulfillment in learning itself. Can it be said then, that this is possible but more an exception to the rule?
Because some (immature) INXJs think they own intellectualism; they donât. And I doubt Neil deGrasse Tyson (ENFJ) is compensating for inferior Ti. ;)
Is it just because Ni is abstract while Te/Fe is objective, and therefore changing its position from Dominant to Auxiliary makes that much of a difference? Iâm thinking of how ISTPs are much more commonly intellectual than ESTPs though both have high Ti, while xNTPs are into it because its coupled with Intuition.
It does make a difference, yes, but not an enormous once â hence why so many people are confused as to whether they are the introverted or extroverted versions of their type.
- ENFP Mod
So I see a lot about Ti users rejecting facts that contradict their internal understanding and having a meltdown upon finding an error in their system and Iâve always felt those descriptions to be very exaggerated.Â
Sure those things happen, but when I find a flaw in the system Iâve devised, rather than crying and rejecting the world I quickly begin tweaking my system and making small adjustments to account for the new information, rather than throwing away my entire understanding.Â
And when it comes to rejecting âfactsâ that disagree with the worldview, thatâs a lot more situational as far as why and how that happens, but I think thatâs less of outright denying said âfactsâ and more about the investigation of the truth behind the âfact."Â
Whatâs the source? Is there potential bias in the source? Could the source be misinformed? What might have led to this misinformation? And if it checks out on all of the above, then it can be considered a fact rather than a "fact,â and finally the question is: what is incorrect about my understanding that led to this conflict of thought?
pros of being an extrovert:
- good at making small talk w strangers if necessary
- easily makes friends
- great storyteller
- generally bubbly and fun
cons of being an extrovert:
- if the Daily Attention Quota is not met i will wither and die

Kill the stereotype that
F types are emotional, always nice, and not smart
the extroverts and their trickster functions
ExTP (PoLR Fi): *has a perfectly fine idea but doesnât share it because it might be r00d* *is actually very specific when describing something* âi call bullshit on thatâ âi can be friends with everybody :)â âitâs bad and unhealthy to hate people!!â *really doesnât give enough shits to like or hate anybody* â??? ethical what now????â probably has done something really bad or naughty in their childhood that they are not ashamed of ((my ENTP dad used to torture mice because they kept biting through his wires))
ExFP (PoLR Ti): âno i didnât mean that!!â âok i said it the wrong wayâ *has a million different ideas that are just sitting there, lacking any logical background* *accidentally says something that contradicts their previous idea while trying to point out the big picture* *when someone opposes their idea* âokâŠyou might be rightâŠâŠ.but im right too (no matter what)â âstop shoving your opinions down my throat!!!!â âomg canât you understand my train of thought instead of pointing out these unimportant details?!?!??!?!?!!!11!â will probably lose interest in something if that curiosity is even superficially satisfied
ENxJ (PoLR Si): *when someone tells them to rest* âno pain no gain!!!!â basically Papyrus from Undertale, âyouâre so lazy!!! you were napping all night!!!â âyou wonât achieve anythingâŠ. if you donât strain yourselfâŠâ *is actually insecure about own physical appearance* *body temperature is 60°C* âiâm not sickâ *has 29 different bodily pains* âitâs probably nothing* *plays games for 17 hours straight without eating or sleeping* âyeah iâve done a 24 hour shift several times beforeâ *temperature is -2°C* *wears a t-shirt outside* no, they didnât forget your birthday for the past 15 years on purpose
ESxJ (PoLR Ni): âmetaphors????????? what are thoseâ *when misguided by an instruction that isnât blatantly spelled out* âok but it didnât exactly SAY thatâ âcan u just EXPLICITLY tell me ffs man stop with your hinting i dont get it okâ *does something wrong but doesnât know itâs wrong until the consequences hit them in the face* *does the same wrong thing again in the future* âhuh???? uh⊠yeah⊠i totally know what youâre talking aboutâŠ.â *when someone compliments them but sarcastically* âoh yeah thanks :)â âi have no idea what this is gonna do but i think it should be rightâ âOOOHHH so people donât like it when i do that? they shouldâve just told me geezâ âlook okâŠ. i respect your opinion i guess⊠but i WILL win this argumentâ âwhat the FUCK i cant believe my favorite TV show is 1 minute lateâ âok but thats so unrealistic so noâ very bad with time like i dont even get it. theyâre those people whoâd go âitâll only take 5 minutes!!â and ends up taking 30 minutes
Myers-Briggs Types Shower Headcanons
ISTJ: Showers just as long as they need to. Uses store-brand 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. Everything has its place in the shower.
INTJ: Uses very hot water. How do they survive. Tell me your secrets
INFJ: Stands on drain and watches water pool around their feet. Takes two-hour showers. Thinks about the meaning of their existence as the steam builds.
ISFJ: Has a gazillion Bath and Body Works products. Sings and dances to Vocaloid and Disney songs that they play on a little speaker.
ESTJ: ALWAYS asks everyone else in the house if they need to use the bathroom first. You BETTER NOT need it when Iâm in the middle of my shower. Donât come in. Itâs mine now. Bye.
ENTJ: They are ethereal beings who do not need to shower. Showers do not fit into their schedule. They probably shed their skin like a snake or some shit.
ENFJ: Uses bar soap. Prefers baths but never has time for them. Is the nice guy who always cleans out the drain.
ESFJ: Night showers. Stands in there for twenty minutes and then forgets to actually put on soap in the first place.
ESFP: Listens to electronic music while showering. Very hot water. Doodles in the mirror-fog.
ESTP: Shaves without shaving cream, just the razor, so hardcore. Flirts with themselves in the mirror while waiting for water to warm up. Slips a lot in the shower.
ENFP: Makes up songs as they shower, but always forgets to write them down later. Faces the water stream while showering. Night showers.
ENTP: Either takes 5 showers a day or forgets to shower for a week. Talks to themselves. Brushes teeth in the shower.
INTP: Enjoys listening to the water running. Once tried to read while showering. Uses showers as a coping mechanism for stress.
INFP: Did not shower for six weeks after seeing Psycho. You know, for safe measures. Now that they shower, they sing anime theme songs and face the stream of water.
ISTP: Always locks the bathroom door when going into the shower, even if theyâre alone. Nobody knows why. Uses a washcloth.
ISFP: Showers in the middle of the day. Showers with back against the stream of water. Hums while showering.
Funny, because my enfj brother always takes a bath at night when he can.
And Iâve heard my entp husband arguing with himself under his breath in the shower many, many times. Sometimes I join in the argument to scare him, and it works đ
THIS ENTJ will have a hot shower, but make it cold at the end. Depending on my mood, I will either sing, rehearse a conversation or argument with someone Iâve planned to have, or Iâll cry. Really depends.
Critical differences between types with similar functions
Entp vs intp: entps are rockstar nerds, intps are alternative nerds

Intp vs infj: justified murder vs preventing justified murder even though the logic is sound
Infj vs entp: sweet, calm nerds. chaotic, energetic nerds.
Intp vs intj: Possibilites! vs Why Would We Do That You Dumb Fuck
oh look, itâs us in the last one
literally
First activity that comes to my mind for each mbti (very stereotypical stuff)

Confession of my personal Entp perspective
Iâve been cursed with the intelligence and strong gut feeling of understanding almost whenever someoneâs lying.
