Until quite recently, ‘slut’ was used as a negative term for women who outrageously neglected female duties like sweeping and cleaning and had messy houses. Now it’s used to express panic at the idea of women who dare to enjoy sex and decide how much they want and who they want it with. The same goes for a whore or a slag or a tramp or a floozy or a skank or a sket or a ho. Unless you’re using a hoe to tend your marigolds, none of these things exist. Basically they’re just words we use to describe a girl who does what a guy would be called a ‘legend’, ‘lad’, ‘stud’ or ‘player’ for doing.
