Even while on a case, she seems to have all the luck. “Mm, just the one?” He didn’t look the sort used to getting up to go over. The lady steps off her place at the bar to swan over to him. She doesn’t take a seat, instead briefly appreciates the view of him sitting while she stood. She offers her hand to introduce herself. “Kira Drake. I know you from somewhere.” His face has been on magazines, and in the halls of the Defense Department. She attempts to place a name. “Doctor…?”

it’s a smile that’s recognized by many across the country. the same sort of heartily entitled grin that’s quick to show itself in front of press interviews and conference recordings ; the one that always comes out when norman gets a rush of pleasure from the luxuries of fame. he can’t help but chuckle in response to the other — “ooh, you’re cheeky,” — and he doesn’t hesitate to extend his own hand, shaking kira’s before returning it to cusp around the deep reddish purple of malbec in his glass.  “doctor osborn,” he starts up, swirling the wine in time with his syllables. “norman osborn, ceo of oscorp industries. does that help to ring any bells, miss drake ? ” he sounds pleased, and somewhat entertained by the fact that he needed to introduce himself in the first place ; a singularity all on it’s own. another hand rises up, curling to extend it’s pointer, and tapping it on the table at which he sat. a wordless invitation to sit, but strict nonetheless.

send 📂 for a random headcanon ! some of norman's fondest memories are the early years of harry's life, and especially their early christmases together. times were difficult, no doubt, in emily's absence. nonetheless, norman worked tirelessly to give the boy the best holidays he could think of. emily's absence motivated norman to work even harder, if anything, to earn harry's affections. young harry was spoiled rotten with presents, amongst plenty of other things — trips around the country, and so many sweets that he could barely stomach anything else. one of harry's favorite gifts was when he and norman were able to go sailing together, one early janurary. both of them were freezing half to death, but they couldn't care less. harry was perched up on norman's shoulders while the two stood and watched a whale swim by. harry was full of giggles for the rest of the day, and would talk about their adventure for years to come. in recent times where norman and harry can barely see eye to eye, such memories are agonizingly prevalent.
