Comparing the Undertakers
I honestly believe Mark Calaway should've gotten more acting roles or been in more films. I understand that maybe acting isn't his thing, and that he has been in some films and a tv show, but I'm incredibly mind blown that he hasn't been in more.
Acting is a big part of wwe, and he acted in different versions of the same character for years. The guy is a wrestler first, but the acting part came naturally. I had to remind myself that they are all played by the same person.
He spent decades of his career sticking to his kayfabe, and even going as far as to sleep in those suitcase stashers in buses when travelling with other wrestlers to keep to the deadman gimmick. I heard he even slept in caskets backstage. The dedication is crazy.
In real life Calaway is a pretty average person, but knows how to play an intimidating villain. Knows how to play a somewhat sympathetic villain. Knows how to play a villain you kind of root for.
The Mortician (1990-94) - Looks like a henchman from those period dramas filmed before the 90s. Would give monologues. Ginger hair contrasted his suit nicely. Old school monster mash vibes.
Purple Mortician (1994-95) - Longer hair, creepier. Looked like he belonged with the Addams family. Definitely Morticia's cousin or something.
Masked (1995) - Phantom of the Ring. Not my favourite because I like looking at his face.
Goth Cat Man (1995-98) - Eyebrow piercing? That theme song? He looks like a metal singer and I love it. There was a short time where his hair looked auburn thanks to the black dye. His first ever actual match with Kane just reeks of a sibling dispute.
Cult leader (1999) - Girly pop era! Stylised his hair and beard, and girlbossed the hell out of his minions. Bossed around the Big Show. "No one can bully Kane but me."
Biker (2000-03) - He's either just a biker, or he's in a gang. Dog person. So we're just going to forget that he kidnapped Stephanie McMahon? "It's not a phase!"
Final form (2005-) - He died again? Mature. Dangerous. Cold. Mind games. I can see him being the main villain of some horror film, such a wasted opportunity. (Yes, I've watched See No Evil).
I'm aware that Taker returned to business at some point. I heard that there's a gunslinger Taker, but I hadn't watched anything after the mind 2000s. I still have yet to watch the fight between him and AJ Styles.
I hope you all get what I mean. They're all the same person, but they aren't.
Biker Taker won't get along with 98' Taker, but he'll definitely get along with Mortician Taker because they're both into patriotism. They are both massive dorks when it comes to politics, besides them being natural gingers. If they were in a room together people would think it's a father chilling with his autistic son.
Final form and cult leader would be at odds because they both feel the need to be in charge.
