Suna Rintaro yawned, lifting his head off the wooden desk, he turned to his left where he had been hearing the chatter of his classmates voices while they conversed with the new girl in his class for the past few days. this time it was silent and only one girl was there.
Y/n sat at her desk, organizing the papers in her folders. Suna watched her for a moment when he remembered her mentioning she lived in the miyagi prefecture before moving here to Hyogo.
"yo, y/n" he spoke, fixing his posture to face her.
The girl's concentrated eyes glide over to her classmate. "yes?"
"did your old school have a good volleyball team?" He asks.
He didn't expect it but Y/n's eyes lit up. She smiled and thought for a moment.
"The team was great!" She answers.
"I went to Aoba Johsai, have you heard about it? It was ranked a top tier volleyball team in Miyagi." She smiled, a bit confidently.
Suna's ears perked up.
"eh..not in a cocky way.. I have friends in the team and I just think they're great." Y/n added.
"i've heard of it." Suna said, staring at her.
"it's a good school, too. I'm not surprised you were able to transfer here." he compliments. Y/n chuckles sheepishly.
"you should come watch our practice." the brunette suggests.
"oh, you're in the volleyball team too?" Y/n wonders, her lashes fluttering as she blinks at him.
"yeah, we actually have a practice match coming up tomorrow. Come watch." Suna began, noticing she added a "too" to the end of her sentence he wondered what that meant.
He was going to ask about it when the sound of the classroom door sliding open interrupted and a classmate of theirs called out Y/n's name.
"come have lunch with us!" the girl at the door said.
"okay! in a second, I'll catch up!" Y/n replied, her voice raising a bit as her friend was further away.
"I'll try to make it to your practice game, Suna! thank you so much for the invite." Y/n stood and left her organized papers and folders on her desk.
Suna didn't watch her leave. His head was back on his desk by the time her footsteps reached the sliding door.
Meanwhile, Osamu and Atsumu Miya were down the hall making their way over to hangout with Suna during their lunch hour.
They chatted with each other about things like how Osamu could't wait to eat the lunch he had prepared for himself while Atsumu complained about the fact that Osamu never makes lunch for him.
"It's not my fault yer so damn lazy in the morning." The gray haired twin glared at the blonde.
He rolled his eyes and listened to his brother whine about having to spend money for food at school when from afar, Osamu spotted a familiar figure exiting the classroom they were headed for.
Suddenly, his brain drowned out Atsumu's voice. He wondered if he should ask Suna about it.
Y/n, witch girl was really in his friend's class.
