Jubilee Logan Gambit Jean Reader Scott
Jubilee shouted at Logan, posed as if she’d jump across the table and tackle him.
Rules are rules, he half growled at her, clearly also too swept up in the game, if ya don’t yell uno when ya got one card you have to pick up another one.
Jubilee sunk back into the couch, crossing her arms and grumbling about Logan being a cheater.
Now, now, can’t we all play a good fair game, yeah?
Gambit intercepted, trying to defuse the tension around the table.
Don’t you try and talk about what’s fair, Cajun!
Logan shouted at Gambit, nearly knocking all the cards off the table. You and Jean jumped in unison, giving each other knowing glances that this could quickly devolve into an all on brawl.
Please everyone, Jean began, putting one hand on Logan’s arm, to which he immediately sat down, still fuming though, it truly is just a game, can’t we all have fun?
It’ll be fun when that Cajun leaves, Logan spat towards Gambit.
Logan! Enough! Jean shouted, standing up so she towered over everyone at the table.
If you all can’t handle a simple game of uno, perhaps we should play something different.
Like what? you asked, uncertain of what Jean had in mind.

Jean grinned at you all, hands on her hips.
A friendly match of charades! she said cheerily.
The entire table groaned in response, you included.

It’s charades or game nights over, she gave as an ultimatum.
Still annoyed, everyone quickly paired off into teams, Logan with Jubilee, Gambit with you, and Jean with an unsuspecting Scott who happened to walk by the rec room.
You and Gambit were up first, you guessing and him miming.
You knew it would be bad when you saw his face as he pulled out the piece of paper (all written by Jean), as he looked like he was trying to decipher what it could be.
After Jean flipped over the little hourglass he began to shrink down, sifting into a strange cube-like shape.
Box? Carton? Gambit what the fuck are you doing? you shouted as he just shifted more into the box shape.
Finally the sand ran out without a single correct guess.
Gambit awkwardly uncurled himself, and standing completely still said, Computer.
Immediately everyone started shouting.
What is wrong with you! How was that a computer!
Gambit, have you ever seen a god damn computer!
Seriously Gambit, what was that?
Hey! Jean yelled over the chaos, I specifically picked this game to stop all the fighting, come on guys.
Babe, ya gotta know we’re never gonna stop arguing, even if you pick watching sesame street as our next “activity”, he said, using air quotes for the last word.
Jean grumbled something to herself about an idiot dog as Gambit settled back onto the couch next to you.
Seriously dude, you laughed, lightly punching him on the chest, have you seen a computer?
He grinned with a sheepish smile, shrugging his shoulders in a casual manner.
You laughed, turning your attention back to the game, So who’s next-
Already Jubilee and Logan were grappling over something, hurling silly insults at each other, while Jean hid her face in her hands and Scott rubbed her back.
You and Gambit laughed at your teammates, settling into the couch for another night of the usual chaos.
