i like hifumi!!!! i think hes a great character..... i even relate to him to some extent. my favourite part of his design is definitely his hair with the little spike on top as well as his hamster-like facial features....... i love when characters resemble (or remind me of) animals.... so so cute...... I can't really comment on his personality or anything else since i haven't replayed thh to restore my memories and im too lazy to do so lololol. the best part about him is that the concept of fujiko yamada was born. although i dont bring her up that often shes one of my all time favourites.......... shes such a cutie....... i heart her.......

i'd say hes also unfairly overhated and its partially chunsofts fault. its such a shame they overexaggerated his body to look as "gross" and "unpleasant" as possible on purpose (it really sucks how they portray people of bigger size in general). i personally think the amount of hate that he receives (which, lets be real, is mainly fatphobia) is really over the top........ its absolutely crazy to me that people go as far as to say hes on the same level as teruteru and even fucking HAIJI TOWA. its basically coughing baby vs 2 hydrogen bombs. its not to say you cant dislike him for the perverted comments that he makes, or his other bad qualities, but most of it comes from people that have, for example, kazuichi as one of their favourite characters. they practically share the same level of perversion, with the only difference being that kazuichi is considered conventionally attractive among the fandom, and therefore his behaviour is often downplayed or considered "quirky". and look, i know kazuichi has a lot more to offer, but if you dont take that into consideration when criticizing other characters as well then frankly you're a hypocrite........ which unfortunately applies to a big chunk of the fandom

sorry for my ranting in the middle, i didnt expect it to be this long lolol, its just super annoying how badly people here treat unconventionally attractive characters (and again sorry for the kazuichi drag lmfaooo but hes the only character that came to mind as of writing this)

It's fascinating that this joke has been maintained in the script since its creation and transcended multiple game builds.

I know in fanfic it’s hard to capture Taka’s deeply weird and verbose dialogue, but something I think goes unappreciated are his completely random moments of informal slang:

(The ‘or whatever’ always kills me. Why did he finish his sentence like that?!)

Also it was pointed out to me that Taka starts copying Mondo’s slang once they become friends, and he’s just trying to emulate the people around him to try to make them like him :(
