Things used to be good and utopian and everyone was happy until some asshole came in and made them bad for no reason other than that they're evil. So now me and my scrappy, ragtag underdog team of lovable misfit traditionalist establishmentarians are going to take them on to restore the proper order of how things always were and always should be

This minority has been oppressed and brutalized since the dawn of time, and for the first time ever now there's a group of them fighting to be equal. But get this, they're insaaane. They're crazAAaay. insaane. asylum. And it turns out they're just doing random violent things for violence's sake. So now me and my scrappy, ragtag underdog team comprised almost entirely of the pre-established oppressor class except for maybe one token Good One are going to take them on to put them in their place and make everything nice and peaceful again

The 2026 Gender Census is now open!

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
