A true blast of a ride this weekend! We tried a new trail system, expecting to have about 6 miles to explore, which I planned to loop for ten or so miles. Surprise, there's miles upon miles of trails, and I got us so lost

I mean, I knew where we were, but finding how to get back was another matter. We kept hitting dead ends, including that one on the far right where we were nearly back to the trailer but hit a fence - we followed the fence line for a while and hit another fence 🙃

Rather than finishing up that last half mile, we had to back track almost 5 miles.

It was a great proof of concept for a twenty-five mile race in three weeks though!

Truly can't thank my trail buddies enough for being so fun - rather than being stressful, the horses were happy as could be and my riding partner was delighted. She found a whole coyote skeleton as a cherry on top

Another horse animation! For this one I used a video as a refrence, since I definitely learn more when I do it that way and have more fun! As for the image quality, it's driving me insane the way my phone keeps lowering the resolution whenever I make gifs of my animations, so I apologise but this is the best I can do for now.
