Wearing the same pair of breeches for weeks on end because the others are dirty and you haven’t done laundry

All of the poop falls of your pitch-fork. You’re giving up. You’re crying. This is the worst day of your life

Tacking up your horse seems like the most difficult thing to do, do you even need to ride today?

It’s ok if your horse has more time off right?

You’re going nowhere. Your horse deserves better. You won’t ever be succesful you should just sell them.

i feel this to an extent whenever i see equestrians (who happen to be the daughters of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Bruce Springsteen, Rockefellers, Tom Selleck, Jeff Bezos, Steve Spielberg, etc) post on instagram about how working hard is the only thing they needed in order to achieve their dreams and if we just did the same we could be like them! like no, jennifer, being bill gates’ kid and owning $1.2 million dollar horses and being flown on your family’s private jet back and forth between your university and international competitions is how you achieved your dreams. A friend of mine is offering to sell me her almost new County Stabilizer for >$1000 because I am urgently in need of a new saddle and it fits my horse perfectly (her horse had to be retired suddenly and now it’s collecting dust), I just barely have any money anyway and after I sell my saddle I will only have about $400. How can I make an extra $400-500 by Tuesday, when she will need an answer? It’s like a super good deal for a next to new County and it fits Nightlife so well 😫

You could possibly do it via PayPal and do PayPal credit and that would let you do a payment plan

I don’t have any good advice besides please be cautious when using credit for purchases like this. It always pops up as a solution bc it is one, but I really feel that using credit for things other than emergencies can put people in a bad position very easily.

I think I'm gonna try to sell some things. A payment plan might be possible so I'll see what I can do there. My mom can't help me unfortunately, I'm on my own when it comes to paying for horses. I don't have a credit card and as tempting as it sounds I just don't want to go down that road yet. This saddle is absolutely my dream saddle so I'm super determined to make it work and so is the owner of the saddle so everyone fingers crossed 🤞
