Amazing Tallinn
For one more time i was in Tallinn this weekend! I love this city!! So beautiful! So great!
WHAT YOUR TYPICAL GUY AT SALENTO LOOKS LIKE
Thank you for your thorough answer! I'm studying Modern Linguistics and I heard these subjects are taught in English in Vilnius and in other Baltic States as well, so language is not really a problem. It came more to a choice between what I want culture-wise and travel-wise. Your answer certainly gave me points to consider, so thanks again! - R.
It's nice to hear that i help you! :)
End get started...
All good things come to an end and of these is the Erasmus period.
Yesterday one of the Erasmus students in Vilnius Academy of Arts and really good friend,Douglas Stevens left from Vilnius to go back to his country. He is the second person i met here,i spent a lot of time with him and he was also one of my flatmates the last weeks.
He studies scupture in Edinburgh and he does some performances, too. I had the opportunity to have a lot of interesting conversations with him about arts etc.
Yesterday we spent almost all day together and with some other friends and we stayed awake until early morning when it was time to leave.
I have say goodbye to other Erasmus students before in my home university but this time the feelings were totally different. I'll miss him and i hope to meet him soon!
So, Doug see you soon!!!!! Hipster House is different without you!!
Hi, I'm planning to go on an Erasmus to Vilnius as well and I found out that you liked Riga and Tallinn more than Vilnius. Why is that? I can still choose between the Baltic capitals, so I just wanted to know to make the right decision. Thanks for your answer in advance! :) - R.
Hey!
It's really important to choose the right city for your Erasmus. I like more Riga and Tallin because they're different from Vilnius and they are closer to the sea. For me sea it's really important because of the way i grown up (i'm coming from Greece and my city has one of the most important ports of the country).
If you want to have your Erasmus in a city with real medieval old city i suggest you Tallin. Old city of Tallin is like coming from a fairytale and you can find there really cool places to have your coffee or pubs. I also believe that i like more Tallin because one of my best friends is there for his Erasmus intership and it's emotionally connected to me.
Riga has also a traditional old city and a lot of cool places to go. You'll spend really great time there.
Furthemore,Vilnius is a beautiful Erasmus city. You can do a lot of things,it's close to many countries and of course it's very cheap the style of life (you see no Euro,Litas!),
Always it depends what you expect from your Erasmus and from which country you're coming from. It's really important to check the coomperating universities to yours and the courses to fit perfect to yours. So if the best one it's in Vilnius come here! But don't forget that maybe the most of proffessors don't speak English. Ask for more information other students who are here as Erasmus and to other Baltic Countries. International Office of your university can help you to get in contact with them ;)
If you have more questions please ask me!
I hope i helped you a bit! :D
