Creature From the Deep -- //Closed (/w SacrificialOath)

Looking over at the creature he stayed with, he sighed, laying his head against his back, water lapping at the ends of his hairs, even his neck. Really, he was soaked, and he didn’t want the sea breeze to make him even colder, to he kept whatever body parts were in the water or that were wet submerged. “No, I’ve been alone in the world since I was 7 years old, and I’ve been stuck in a system to try to find me a family for almost 11 years in two days. They were actually gonna kick me out when I turned eighteen, and then I would’ve been homeless on the streets.” Remembering the deaths of his loved ones, he closed his eyes, focusing on his surroundings, the little fish nibbling away at his exposed skin underwater. “I’m fine with not going back to where I was before, I’d rather stay out here…”
"It's dangerous being out in open sea for humans." Eren murmured cynically, his tail working hard to keep both of them afloat. In water, toting around bodies was like dragging dead weight through syrup. Exhausting, and extremely nerve-wracking.
"Let's get you somewhere safe. Even if you can swim, you wouldn't last long in open sea." The boy decided firmly, kicking off with his tail. His entire body was sore, from bruises and from exhaustion, and the nearest deserted island was miles away. The travel itself took long enough, and as he hauled himself and the child onto the sandy beach, he let out a shaky breath, on the verge of panting. "Humans don't inhabit this island, and there is a cove nearby in which I may rest. Do you think you could survive here?"
