Before facebook there was the pocketbook. My grandmother's consisted of the essentials: lists of cell phone numbers, birthdays, a photo of her parents, and a photo of her family. No "likes" just laughs. No profile pics- just face to face. No buzzfeed- just the latest gossip over tea and cookies.
