I'm Erica, a multi-disciplinary artist with a desire to create and experiment with different mediums. I have a portfolio website that features my fine art pieces, but I wanted another place where I could share the creative projects that don't fit in that category--things like fan art, animations, audiodramas, video games, short stories, etc.

Thursday seems to be my schoolwork posting day, lol. Here's a travel brochure I created for a fishing village named Bream's Perch. It's also the setting for a D&D one-shot I wrote and ran a couple of years ago, set during their titular Fish Festival. I tried to emulate a woodblock print, because I figured that's what they would use to make multiple copies of a brochure at their level of technology. With that in mind, I roughened up the curved edged to make them look carved, and erased bits with a textured brush to simulate an incomplete impression. How did I do? Is this a place you'd like to visit?

The Cat-Napper! Another school project for your amusement. This time we had to come up with an invention and create a brochure and diagrams about how it works. I had the idea for this because I want to be able to take naps all the time without losing time in my day. But I'm imagining it as a gimmicky "As Seen On TV" product that may or may not actually do anything, lol. Is this something you would buy if it were real?

Only a couple of sketches to share from last week, so I've included cat pics too 😻. I'm thinking about doing a small series of floral illustrations to use for Mother's Day cards. My mom loved orchids, hibiscus, lilies, poinsettia, and probably others I've forgotten. What is your mom's favorite flower?

Just finished another illustration assignment. I created an imaginary creature and made a brochure of sorts about it. I went with a pet care guide because I thought this quantatzl would make an interesting pet. I've also included the brainstorming sketches at the end. Would you adopt this creature as a pet?

Here's some sketches and marker studies I did this week, mostly before I came down with a cold and lost all energy to do anything (ugh). Which page is your favorite?

I've been missing my mom a lot this week too, so I drew the orchid and the cardinal studies. They were both things she loved.

One thing I learned is that I need more practice drawing cats, lol. Don't mind the derpy drawings of Samantha. She kept moving around and I had no idea what I was doing 😂.

I'm super excited about the isometric grid notebook! I doodled some Stargate-themed stuff while watching a Stargate franchise retrospective on YT. I drew from memory, so they're not entirely accurate, lol.

I got my blob zine printed through Canva, who sent me a reprint when the first attempt was misaligned. Much happier with the results this time! I'm not terribly concerned about ordering a whole run to sell in my shop, but if there's enough interest, then I can put them up for preorder. Either way, I'm just proud of myself for putting this together! Which spread is your favorite?

My newest blob drawing! I've been doodling with this blue, green, and orange colormpalette for the past few nights and wanted to try it out in alcohol markers. It's giving retro vibes for me, but what do you think? What comes to mind when you look at these colors or shapes?

I was skeptical about Starfleet Academy at first and gave it a wide berth. I wasn't interested in a Star Trek-branded teen drama (that's what I perceived it as). And then one day I was bored and decided to watch the first episode. If I didn't like it, then I didn't have to watch anymore. No harm done.

Y'all. I binged all the available episodes after that. I see a lot of myself in these kids, trying to navigate an uncertain future, trying to find their place in it. This show leaves me feeling hopeful and joyous during a time in my life when I'm fighting to feel anything but numb.

Don't mind me while I finish crying my eyes out after watching episode 8 😭🥹💖

Another set of mixed media collages, this time as a pair that will be sold together. Not sure how I want to display them, though. I feel like frames would be distracting. Mounting them on cradled art boards could work if I can find the right size. I'm open to suggestions!
