First impressions: who do you think are the hottest residents or who are you attracted to

“Hottest residents? Damn, that’s hard to pick…Have you seen the people living here?” Eric thought back to his experiences; they were far too short for him to have any real attraction towards anyone, and even less likely for him to have any safe attraction towards anyone. If he said any names (which in all honesty, he didn’t know many) they could have their boyfriend or girlfriend out for him. Not something he’d be looking forward to that day.

“Uhm, there’s this one girl who’s hilarious. I’m probably too young for her, hah. But she’s got a killer laugh!” He shrugged, a smile of his own forming at remembering that brief encounter. “And there’s this blonde. No nothing about her besides her love of caffeinated drinks but she’s a real sight.”

Rubbing the back of his neck, he felt as if he should still add something more. A disclaimer that his attraction did not coincide with him having a crush in case word were to get back to the two women. “They’re hot but I can’t say much until I figure out what their names are.”

“You see my point? Who wants to deal with the fact they may have to shovel snow off their car then later DRIVE in it! It’s sheer madness. I’m not made for this life. Too rugged for me.” Kajal joked, not even serious but she was allowed to whine about the inconvenience or two.

Eric gave a good, hardy laugh, enjoying this woman’s humor and the stress she was putting into the situation. “You’re right, you’re right. The snow doesn’t play around. Buses and ubers are our only lifesavers. If, you know, they didn’t pick away at my check so much.”

Harlot, on the other hand, was trying to get the cat out of his apartment. He had two beloved little quails, safely secured in a cage thank god; he really didn’t want this cat getting to them. “Come on, you, get out!” Harlot whined, his door hanging open as he tried to track down the feline and kick it out of his messy little home. “You ain’t welcome here, you furry little shit!”

Harlot didn’t like cats. He never really liked cats. But he especially didn’t like cats that ran past his feet and tried to eat Bonnie and Clyde the button quails.

Eric had crouched from furniture to furniture hoping that she’d appear. Seconds within ‘adopting’ her, he’d already got her lost. What a great pet owner he was turning out to be. “Here...kitty....kitty?” When had this call ever worked on any cat? He was resorting to cliches. Sighing, Eric got back up in time to hear a someone yelling from down the hall. Sounded like he was dealing with a rat. 

Maybe his cat was trying to chase it? You furry little shit. Oh, fuck.

Eric charged down the hall and to the man’s door, calling inside he asked. “You got a cat in here?” Trying to be polite and stay out of the man’s home because god knows how strange and rude it would be of him to just step inside, Eric stretched his neck to try and see if he could find it. Low and behold, there she was trying her best to get near the cage. “Oh, girl, what are you doing?” He didn’t care so much about pleasantries, and simply stepped inside. Making sure not to step or trip on any of the items on the floor, he swooped her up into his arms.

“I have it.” Asher said, “I just don’t really use it. Must be some embarrassing pictures on there or something.”

As Noel was sitting on one of the arm chairs in the lobby with his coffee on the table and binder in his lap, he kept at his studies and work for his professors. Sipping his coffee every three minutes or so and that normal habit of him tapping his pen against the metal of the clips from the binder. Noel would mostly be in the lobby after classes because for the most part, everyone was out doing their jobs or venturing off for their life. Plus it saved him time for having to go to his floor and back down for when he had to work. Noel had a bag of clothes he changed in to from school to work and then back to his place. 

Luckily today he didn’t have to work and he was just studying, but as he heard someone make a odd noise. Something of an animal or so, Noel paused. Looking around and then hearing the squirreling of it running off to a different corner. “Umm.. I think it went to the mail box room.” Noel said for the owner as he set down his book. Standing up, but only to get down on the floor and look under the chair he was sitting down. Noel hadn’t even turned to face the guy, he was helping find the animal. “What kind of pet is it?” Noel asked.

“Mail room!” Eric called out as if that information gave him an epiphany.. Jumping straight up from where he crouched to walk over to the room the other had suggested, Eric made sure to make his steps softer so to not scare the poor girl. The mail room was rather bare, little hiding spot for the Ragdoll mix to tuck herself in. The garbage can, which she’d probably be good at getting in, a random blue bin, and the corner of the room. “There you are!” Eric exclaimed, as he saw the fluffy cat sitting in the bin. Before he got a chance to pick her up she leaped out and raced out of the room.

Damn it.

Eric began chasing after her before deciding against that. “A cat. She’s that puffball who apparently doesn’t like me anymore,” He said in dry humor, slowing to a stop to simply follow the (scared? Playful? What was this cat’s problem?) cat with his eyes as the animal did a run around the lobby before darting underneath the couch he had been looking at. Not wanting to draw attention from the staff, Eric decided against trying to get her out from underneath the couch without a game plan. He was not about to have her escape again. “Alright, don’t know if you saw that,” He announced, giving the man a let’s-not-talk-about-it look. “But if you’re up for it, I think I have a plan.”

“Oh no, no, it’s okay, it’s fine…” Lynn shook her head, she didn’t want to be a burden to the stranger, she just needed the event venue so she could drop the flowers off because the delivery guy can’t come to work today so Lynn had to go in his place delivering the flowers for the day and this was  the last one before she can go back to the shop. “Ah! a floor up, I see, no wonder I have it wrong…” she chuckled, “I guess we’re both are not so good with details, huh?”

“You sure?” Eric asked again though not wanting to give off the impression she couldn’t do it on her own, he dropped it. He’s met enough girls who hes tried to help but it came off the wrong way for him to learn not to be too pushy. He laughed, shaking his head in agreement at their attention to detail. “I’d say. At least you got the right day.” He grinned, moving towards the door. “Then, how about I walk you up to make sure I’m sending you to the right room?”

Gabriella was walking back from the parking lot after visiting her mother in the hospital and she saw Eric looking for something. She looked around making sure nothing looked out of place before furrowing her eyebrows. She took a few more steps towards him and said, “What are you looking for?” Clearly he was looking for something, she just didn’t know what.

“Ah, hey,” Eric greeted, jumping back to his feet as he heard footsteps approaching him. He teetered his weight from one leg to another, trying to find out a good way to explain without looking like a bad almost-pet-owner. “So, there was this cat, right? And they got in and now I can’t find them.” That’s about as vague as he could get. And that’s all he was going to offer. “Have you seen it around at all?”

Ally had just arrived home from her shift at work and was passing through the lobby to get to the staircase. As she wandered through the lobby, occasionally taking a sip from paper cup of coffee, she was distracted by a strange sound coming from the other side of the room. Furrowing her brow, she wandered further into the room only to find a man crouched beside the couch. “Can I help you find something?” she asked, placing her free hand on the corner of the sofa as she looked down at him with a raised brow.

“Unless you’re talented at catching wild animals, I’m not sure if you can.” Eric lifted his head up, a frown that spoke volumes about his unsuccessful search clear on his face. Standing up, he leaned his weight against the couch, gathering up ideas on where else to look on this first floor. “See, I lost my cat. I was bringing her home and just like that she raced out of my arms. I’m trying to catch her before she or someone with bad allergies gets hurt. I’d rather go about my day without some lawsuit on my hands.” Could he even get sued for something like that? Probably not, but he was always thinking of the extremes.

Lexi was walking into the apartment getting off of work, when she started hearing a strange sound. She saw a man looking under a couch and saying something, “I hope you’re not talking to me” she joked.

Eric replayed those words in his head not catching it as a joke at first before he snorted and gave a light chuckle. He looked up at the woman with a grin and shook his head. “No, I don’t think that line would go well with any girl.” He tossed back, getting up and scanning the room again with his eyes. “You haven’t seen a cat around here, have you?”

As Brighton stood in the lobby, looking over a few papers she had gotten in the mail yesterday that she had forgotten to check, she couldn’t help but to over heard someone making an odd noise from behind her. Looking around, she saw someone on the ground and looking under a couch as he mumbled to himself. Walking over rather carefully, the blonde gave the man a questionable look before speaking up. “Can I–Can I help you with something?”

Eric had hardly picked up his head, still checking very carefully under that couch to make sure she wasn’t hidden under there. He hummed in thought before straightening himself out and looking at the woman. “I...I’m not sure. If you’re up for it? I’m looking for a cat. She’s a real sweetheart. Messy. This tall--You’re not allergic are you?”

Zachary had just gotten home from an early shift at the bar. Making a beeline for his apartment on the first floor, he couldn’t help but stop as he heard some odd noises coming from the couch. He then found a young man crouching, looking around underneath it. He stopped and cocked his head, confused. “What the fuck are you doing?” he asked.

Eric’s head shot up when someone approached him. His eyes wide with being caught and his mouth hung open for a sec as he scrambled for an explanation. “Uh...” He uttered stupidly before standing up to look at the man evenly. “A cat got in here,” He lied--or rather, in his frenzy to make it a short explanation, left tid bits out. “She’s about this tall, looks kind of like a Ragdoll--or is it a Siberian--She’s a puffball. White and gray. Have you seen her anywhere?”

“That’s right, you can’t disappoint all of these nonexistent fans.” She replied, gesturing to the empty room with a laugh. “Well the hunt for the bathroom was really just an excuse to get away from some creepy guy who was hitting on me, so I think I’ll manage. You got a name? Or should I just refer to you as Mr. No Fans.”

“Exactly. They’ll be heartbroken.” Eric feigned a sad expression. “You haven’t been having good luck with men today. Met a creep, saw me doing that. Who knows what else is in store.” Eric closed his eyes as if he was in physical pain by that nickname. “No, no, I prefer Eric. How about you, Ms. Sharp Tongue?”

The minute her hand wrapped around the cup she noticed the raise of the males hand and instantly regretted taking it from him, the coffee filling her sense of smell she closed her eyes for just a second before extending her arm back out to give it him back. “No, I’m sorry, that was weong of me, here.” Ettienne replied, practically stuffing the coffee cup back into his hands, it was clearly a regular occurrance for the poor guy and she wasn’t about to be the second, or third, person to take a drink from him. “You look pretty upset to me. I guess I’m just not cute enough.” Etty teased giving him a warm smile.

Eric hadn’t meant to actually make her feel bad for it but he was almost refreshed by it. All in all, he couldn’t exactly blame her. By the way she was tasting it and letting the warm, coffee smell take over her senses, she did look like she needed it. Giving a sheepish smile at her apology, Eric raised an eyebrow. “I wasn’t expecting that.” A rough chuckle escaped him at the girl’s teasing. He took the coffee and placed it back down on his table, mindlessly thumbing the ceramic. “I wouldn’t say that. You’re up there. But this quality coffee? Man, anyone would be upset at missing a taste.” He joked, readjusting himself. “Mind telling me why  you needed this coffee so bad?”

“Oh my god!” She exclaimed after she accidentally really punched the person in front of her in the face. “I’m so sorry… your hand moved… I-… I’m so sorry!”

“Ahhh,” Eric groaned, cupping his nose as he tried to internalize the pain. “Man, do you got an arm on you.” He wasn’t sure whether that was a compliment or a complaint. Probably a mixture of both. “Was it really my hand or were you waiting for the chance to get one in?” He accused jokingly, chuckling to keep from groaning once more.

“Another chance to embarrass myself and make him run for the hills? No thank you.” Amara said with a small laugh as she followed along side him. “Sure, that sounds fun. I actually haven’t played since college and I can’t say that was a long while ago. Amara, by the way.”  She added with a soft smile.

Eric laughed, tossing his head back just a bit at the image. “Some guys find that cute. You being left speechless from the sight of him and all,” He teased, throwing a smirk her way. “Eric. Amara, huh? That’s different. So, are you new around here, Amara?”

Asher laughed then and nodded his head, “You’re welcome. I don’t actually have snapchat, never really understood it.” He admitted. “My sister loves it though.”

“Honestly, I just use it as my personal vine.” Eric admitted with a light shrug of his arms. “But what are you into? A facebook guy?”
