WOMANIZATION - CAREER GIRLS IN A CHANGING WORLD

Hi All! I am Erika and I am from the Netherlands. Let me tell you why I started writing this blog: Internationalization, globalization, optimization .... and .... 'It's a Man's World' .... and there are still people believing this. We don't! Diversity is in and growing numbers of girls in newly developing countries are now getting a proper education. Scientists have shown what the differences between the male and female brain are about and why women have added value in boards, governments and other decision taking bodies. 'Behind every successful man there is a successful woman' and the word 'Woman' incorporates the word 'Man'. Having come at a point in my life where I want to be part of all this, I decided to start this blog. But don't worry: my contributions to 'Womanization' will not only be dead serious: lighter themes like Fashion, Travel, Music, Other Hobbies of this lady and even Celebrity Gossip might get their space as well. MY TUMBLR BLOG - FIRST COUNTRY ALLOCATION AFTER 200 HITS

The top 3 countries after 200 hits are the Netherlands (just North of 40 percent), the United States (20% rounded) and surprisingly Bulgaria (almost 8 percent).

Why Bulgaria? Ah well, that is related to my nice fashion set in which I used my friend Nadya, a Bulgarian fashion model, as background :-)

FACEBOOK GETTING MATURE?

This interesting chart shows that Facebook is getting more mature in the United States. Literally. Not just in terms of the company getting bigger, also because of its members.

Teens are actually getting less and less important. Especially the youngest aren't that impressed anymore.

But this is more than compenssated in the older age classes.

When looking at gender it seems to be more a medium of us women than of men.

FEELING 50'S

I just love that old vintage style, and especially when it is colorful like the one shown here the outfits are sooo cute and sooo me.

Especially now that there are so many of those vintage times retro events for baby boomers, I will find my way back to my 'roots' (read: history) and make sure to stay in synch with it.

AUTHORITARIANISM LINKED TO TREATMENT OF WOMEN?

Earlier we showed a map indicating to what extent women could report rapes on this page. This blog is of course first and foremost about the potential for women to increase their piece of the global cake, i.e. to initiate a certain level of WOMANIZATION.

Is it me or is there pretty much a correlation between this map showing Authoritarianism across the globe and 'what needs to be done' in terms of Womanization?

If yes, then ouf focus should first and foremost be on MENA - Africa and Russia/Central Asia.

Hope that we can reach women from that part of the world!

Where Are The Smokers? Look For The Colors Reminscent of Cigarette Ember

Women still outperforming man in this area and that is great news (also directly linked to the fact that women live longer in most countries on this planet), but total number of smokers still going up because:

1) Number of people on this planet is going up; and

2) Emerging Countries get richer with their population not reducing the bad habit as much as their fellow global citizens in the developed world currently do.

Since the surgeon general’s report laid bare the health hazards from smoking 50 years ago, the proportion of Americans who smoke has fallen dramatically.

About 19 percent of American adults smoke these days, compared with about 42 percent in 1965.

Smoking has become less prevalent in other countries, too, including Canada, Mexico and Iceland.

Overall, the prevalence of smoking has gone down worldwide over the past few decades. For men, smoking dropped 10 percentage points to 31 percent in 2012, from 41 percent in 1980. For women, it has been almost halved, falling from about 11 percent to 6 percent over the same period.

But that’s not the case everywhere. So where is smoking still common?

Researchers at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation crunched the data and made them easy to noodle with.

The map above shows hot spots. Greece, Bulgaria and Macedonia look like the burning tip of a cigarette. Russia, France and Austria aren’t far behind.

RED TONES BY ERIKA

Too often did I opt for shades of grey or black when picking my office outfits. Low Risk! Not too strange for someone working as a risk manager. But I want it to be different in 2014: a nice way to do so and create a nice, happy personal style is with red tones. Just like #Louboutin did when designing his shoes. Hope you like it! Hugs, Erika
