Oh yes!! That post was so long ago! It’s been awhile and I’ve been away and I did see that, but have had no words to even express what I feel about this. Except that I feel like a sorcerer and am unsure this is really happening. EVEN THE HAIR.

In honor of my birthday twin the-last-teabender, I drew a happy Eighth Doctor!! He was kind enough to remove his coat so I didn't have to animate it. Happy belated birthday to us!

Here's a page of my thumbnails for the forest scene in The Planet That Came For Christmas. This is where you roughly scribble the whole scene down quickly and figure things out, before you draw it clean. Not really meant for anyone else to see, but I always found this stuff interesting.
I basically animated 3D and stop-motion for a solid two months so I really have to get back to drawing practice. There's more story to board.

Have finally finished drawing storyboards for Doctor Puppet: The Planet That Came For Christmas and animation is underway. It's all about the 12th.
Here's a little guide to the 12th Doctor Puppet I made for our own reference. He is very daunting and exciting. If we get even a little of this in the performance with our limited timeframe, that'll be swell.

Someone has posted the Doctor Puppet segment of the documentary DW: Earth Conquest. Not sure how long it will stay up (I'd love for us all to be able to actually purchase this awesome program), so look quick!
This features my stop-motion animation of Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman in puppet form (digi-lipsync by Alisa), and an interview with Alisa herself!
Also features loads of animation from previous Doctor Puppets, so lots of work by racheldoodles too. Our composer Scott Ampleford's music also heard throughout.
-Yes, Peter and Jenna did record this dialogue for us to animate to.
-This took 13 straight hours.
-The dialogue was written by us and tweaked the DW: EC crew.
-This is how I broke all of Twelvey's fingers.

Here it finally is! This is our most ambitious yet and I'm really proud of us all, so I hope you enjoy it! I'll probably be sharing storyboards for this one too.

Oh, thanks! It actually gets easier. For Friday’s drawing I scribbled him fairly quickly and spent the bulk of my time on Clara.
It just comes from a lot of obsession I have a problem please help m practice. I am fascinated with understanding the shapes of that face, like a food scientist trying to calculate the perfect formula for no-bake brownies, except for the part where it’s important. So I have sketchbooks full of this kind of crap:
Also now Jenna Coleman to some extent. After a while I forget though. If you don’t use it you lose it.That was probably more answer than expected to a non-question. I just like cool faces with angles and Doctor Who casts them.
