Ithyll!! A shapeshifting vampire elf doctor character I have who I love dearly. She's a huge nerd who decided to become a vampire in order to study infectious diseases more easily (except the general fear of vampires does make this more than a bit challenging). First of this year's split canvas collabs with @burbled and @erradox. We like to split the canvas up and all draw the same character side-by-side as a way to celebrate Art Fight, and this time was with my character, Nessie!

I finally gave Sanya his own feeding indicator ref so that I wouldn't have to link Daliel's. I made them mirrored though, for vibes.

Artfight attack for @erradox of their extremely cool sea creature son, Newt, suffering in his display tank.

I absolutely adore Newt's design. He's got such a cool shape and the way he glows makes me go :O, so as soon as I saw him I knew I had to draw him. And then his lore on top of it just makes me wildly excited.

Originally I was going to draw him free, but I always get nervous veering away from character descriptions and extrapolating. So he suffers.

Art Fight icons with @erradox !! Fossils, Crystals, and also just versions for general icon purposes. For fun. This year, Tiger did theirs first and then I made mine to match (with some assistance from them)

Tiger and I have an annual tradition of making festive icons that go together for Art Fight and it's always so fun!! And cute to see them all together~

A thing I participated in! This was the first year I did the designs for our matching icons, for every other year I drew second to match with Bob.

Worth noting: In Vampires vs Werewolves, I started out on Team Werewolf and the first icon is what I had first. I added the reddish color fade when I switched to Team Vampires.

I got stuck on a song and had to draw the scene in my head.

This is Kolya, the vampire that took in Verdant in the pocket dimension they were both stuck in.

In this situation, Kolya is basically saying "The only way out is death," specifically here referring to becoming vampire food.

I had planned for Kolya to be sitting among the ruins of a statue from the beginning, but it was in the sketch phase I decided to make the statue a lion. Because Verdant's prior parental figure was a cat beast, and Kolya is essentially replacing him.

Also, an awful fact: in Dismeil, those that die get devoured by a deity called The Old One. So the line directly before the one in this illustration, "God devoured that of father," is just plain awful, especially when paired with the lion statue. Darris was so much more of a father to Verdant than Kolya ever would be.

A thing I participated in! Also some extra context: Daliel can't drink anything (they're secretly an undead construct and they don't even have an esophagus) and of course Loop has no mouth. So them clinking glasses is a visual joke.

All of us were redrawing 10+-year-old art, and then Tiger and I did some drawings along the sidelines.

A 10 year (to the date) redraw! I did actually complete this on the 31st of January, I just forgot about it until seeing that Bob uploaded the full magma session I drew this in. But I want to put this on my blog separately, too.
